I've now seen a video with a man at a counter giving out food that's been time-shifted, blurred and set to dubstep. WUB WUB WUB WUB here's your potatoes sir WUB WUB WUB WUB.
Still, looks pretty cool. You've got some mods on which kind of make it difficult for me to determine if that would make things easier or harder. Though judging from the length of the rail and the fact that you don't have a mining beacon that you've disallowed or disabled the Nether?
Also a bit surprised not to see any hoppers connected to the furnaces; that's like the first thing I'd do if I had to smelt one ho-jillion cobble.
As many have mention, this is a far more tantalizing video for our eyes to feast on compared to your first "teaser" that many refused to believe (though you could have done things more opened to the community by directing them to Youtube where there was a more brief descriptions and a link to planetminecraft with high detail of your endeavor)
This is a very well done and thought out video (personally) with a good execution and organization amongst your members. It is also very promising to what the future holds regarding your goal and the stakes are high. I am not here to say you may or may not disappoint as I am already impressed with such tight and coordinated community but as other very few people mentioned here. Your other objective, besides being the biggest survival building, about bringing it to minecon and to mojangs attention might not succeed I'm afraid mainly because things are already in motion at mincon and booths and scheduling are already taking place.
I am not sure how you want to present this at minecon or go about it, as you are being rather secretive with all the right to be, but if you do not get in contact soon with them (I'm sure you have tried multiple times through emails or other direct methods) this will be simply discarded and it will not be nothing more than a sweet minecraft youtube video or even a community highlight here in these forums. I suggest a more direct and aggressive approach with them and revealing everything you got to them (showing them how much of your monument you have accomplished and such) while still keep it as a surprise for us, the community if you so wish.
Target mojang in making connections and arrangements while building anticipation and support from the community as you have done so thus far. I hope for the best and you can count on the good and supportive part of this community into helping you bringing your cause to mojang.
About the one mod you use that shows the potions on the stand, what is it?
Also its awesome as hell you used mods for this...
Right on! The band is 'Dysphemic & Miss Eliza'... they've agreed to being our official band for the project. The links to their music are in the video's description on YouTube... with FREE DOWNLOADS... so definitely check 'em out.
I'll talk about the mods we used at some point down the road (hopefully at Minecon).
Thanks so much for watching, and for your support!
This is exactly what a teaser should be. Thank you for finally making this!
Was I a little harsh originally? Yes. However, I don't regret it because it was a mediocre video. Now I do realize this was a cohesive project with lots of people, jobs, housing, and the like.
Great job! I'm not saying this will get into Minecon (because it may not be noticed), but this is a great project and I want to see all of it now >:-D
Thank YOU for checkin' it out!
We're definitely glad to have you in our corner. We need all the support we can get
Now this video is way better than the first, this one is actually a good teaser!
This video also shows what most of the people were asking for:
- Proof that its surival.
- The awesome logistics your team build. ( I still belive this is more interresting than the actual building.)
- Proof (or atleast hinting toward it) that the pyramid is massive and not just hollow.
- Some more things, to be honest i listed here the things i asked for/wondered about.
And still yet, you didnt show more of the building than the first video did.
Now i finally can say that i support you, altough i still doubt that this will bring you to the minecom.
Good job!
Thanks for watching! So glad to have your support!
Welcome to the elite my friend. You'll find few who respect what you're doing more than I.
Your video is a ton , but you might have some competition for that "Biggest" title. =) Hopefully you'll recognize some of the screenshots in that video. In total we mined over 3.5 million cobblestone, and eventually smelted ~700,000 of that to smoothstone for the 21st hall (not pictured above)
Anyway, Congratulations on your progress so far. You've made it farther than 99.9% of projects with ambitions of this scale, and I hope you are able to make it the rest of the way.
Edit: FYI. The geekology link says "to scale". That's just lazy "reporting" on their part, I've never claimed it was to scale.
Do us all a favor. Do NOT stop this project, and keep showing us more! This just blows me away, I've watched the video multiple times and I can't get over how much hard work you've put into this. Keep it up Pitch, keep it up.
THIS is the way to make a teaser trailer. However, I'm not sure this will get to Minecon, because you seem to have used a lot of mods. But now I see all the hard work your team put into making this. Nice work!
I like this video a lot better, however, did any mods effect how you got the resources?
Glad you liked the video!! (Yes, they did... and I hope to have the opportunity in November to reveal how we utilized the mods to enhance the realism of minecraft survival.)

Harder. Much much much harder. I can't get into it right now That was sorta my fear with revealing more info in each successive video, more info = more questions.
Length of that track... no mining beacons, the nether, the lack of Hoppers, I'll explain all of that down the road too. At the right time, in the right place
Thanks for following us so closely. We really appreciate your interest, and support!
Thank you for showing this. I have much more respect for you and your slaves Er, I mean workers great job! Although I do wish it was compleatly in vanilla...

You have a point but I personally love the idea they added the mods to add more depth. It gives a different feel for the project.

I'll make another concerted effort to get in touch with someone at Mojang, but I couldn't even so-much-as find their phone number, so I thought the community would be the biggest and best voice for this project... in getting their attention.
Your support and help is greatly appreciated my good man. Thanks for taking the time here!! Any further thoughts, insights, ideas or directions you have in mind, please let me know. I'm open to feedback on how to raise awareness of this thing.

We're very familiar with your work, and glad to be in your company. I would welcome a private convo with you so that I can pick your brain on your experiences with public relations and promotions for your project. It would be a real benefit to us to be able to draw on that experience! You can PM me anytime!
Also, thanks very much for checkin' out the video, and for your support. We need more guys like you in our corner!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the interior of your pyramid, and I'm pretty impressed with how you guys plan to be so exact and specific with all of the interiors placements. I saw the description of the project on another website

For sure! Glad to hear you like it! Lotta hard work by a lotta good people
You have a point but I personally love the idea they added the mods to add more depth. It gives a different feel for the project.
I think because we use mods... people assume we've gone about making survival (and the build) easier for ourselves, so in turn, it lessens the wow-factor for them.
I've seen the vid, I've checked you on YT (subscribed as well). You, Sir, have made me a believer. Please, say hello to all your co-minecrafters involved in this... THING.
Impressive.
Will do! I'll let them all know that we've got some really good supporters in here. It'll make them feel great to know that their community is behind them.

quick question: what mods were used? I recognized metallurgy and bibliocraft, but what others?
Thanks so much for watchin'. Glad to have your support! I won't be commenting on what mods and how we used them, until the right time and place except to say that we used them to increase the realism and immersion of the survival experience, as well as made survival much, much... much more difficult.
I never posted on your original topic, but I was intrigued from the start. This video does you guys' project justice. It makes me want to be involved with what (obviously) is already done. Very cool, love the idea, and though I will not be attending Minecon; I believe such a feat is worthy of being presented there (mods or not).

Okay, you changed my mind. This is amazing.
I will admit, I'm a little biased against it because it's not completely vanilla, but that's just my playstyle. I commend you and your team for this endeavor and wish you success.
