From the wiki: "Mining a Monster Egg with a Silk Touch enchantment does not give the player a Monster Egg block, but the type of block that the Monster Egg is disguised as."
Even if you would be able to get him to your "safe zone," you woudl still have to name him, otherwise, he would despawn once you are a certain number of blocks away.
I don't think it would be too hard to guide the silverfish back to your place haha. Just name it so it doesn't despawn and walk it to your house XD

get a lead and a name tag then name the silverfish whatebver you want then put the lead on it and drag it to your house
I'm pretty sure you can only use leads on passive mobs. One thing you could do, if you have the patience, is use pistons to push the monster eggs to your base. Once you've gotten it where you want it, you can mine the block and use a name tag to make sure it doesn't de-spawn. You should be careful not to build its cage out of stone, cobblestone, or stone bricks, because it will just go back inside right away.

it would be hard but u would have to lead him to your house or wherever u want him then name him witha name tag cuz any mob with a name tag won't despawn
Thank you!

I don't think you can get a silverfish block with silk touch, and even if you could the silverfish would despawn if not named.
