So I've been working on this house in my survival world lately. It was intended that I'd post all pictures when the entire mansion was done, however, I've been lacking the motivation to finish it. Therefore, I thought I'd just post a few pictures now, and be done with it. I might continue on it later, as I have tons of ideas on how I want things to be.
When I started building this house, every possible thing that could go wrong did go wrong. I literally planned nothing, and just went on it. The dimentions on the house got wrong all the time, and the roof was a pain in the ass making (especially since I'm not used to doing this in suvival mode). I was literally inches away from abandoning the whole project, as I knew it was going to look horrible. But honestly, things went better than expected. It could definetively use some improvements, let alone actually adding things that every house should have. But I'm too tired for that right now.
Picture time:
Front view: Front view of the house.
Front view again: Front side with different perspective.
Front view. Again: Another perspective of the front side.
South side: Could use some work.
Back, east side: It's covered in trees, and could use some work.
Back side again: Another angle, the trees were in the way.
North side: This is the north side of the house, needs a lot of work.
Sunset view: I was too late for the sunset...
Bridge: A random bridge I made, inspired by JamziboyMinecaft.
Side view: Side view of the bridge.
Bonus: Kinda cool picture you could use as a wallpaper or something
Someone asked me to upload a few interior pictures, so I'll do that. However, NOTHING inside is finished. It doesn't really matter, as I'm awful at interiors (Mostly when it comes to big houses, though). Most of the house is empty, and pretty much everything looks plain. The interior isn't very interesting, and it never will be.
My downstairs fireplace:
Different angle on the fireplace:
Stairs. This is actually a pretty cool design, if you followed the entire staircase.
Upstairs. It's just filled with rooms I probably will never use. My two cows have one room each.
Lazer Shark's room:
Bill's room:
Just a reading/eating/sitting place. Something I added:
My other staircase, and the balcony:
What do you think? Did the roof look as bad as I first thought it would, or did I fix it good enough? What do you like/dislike?
Please tell me if there is anything wrong with my pictures, if you want a few more from a specific view, if they're too dark, if I should put them in spoilers etc.
Also, tell me if this should've been in the "Pictures" section of the forum, instead, lol. It's the same for me.
Looks good to me.
One thing i'd say might look better is if you find an alternate light source to spamming torches everywhere.
Aside from that, good job.
I will make (When I bother) fountains and decorations outside, where I could place torches in places it looks more "natural". But I never finished it, so the torch spam is just temporary.
Looks awesome! Only thing I would change is how close you are to other biomes, but that's just me. Awesome job.
I've changed it so much, but when BiomePainter (I think it was called that) is updated to 1.3, I'll demolish the entire damn tundra on the other side of the river. I actually tried to remove ice yesterday with MCEdit, but I'll definetively have to change the biomes a lot soon.
Wow! Amazing Job! Btw maybe use glowstone as an alternative to torches in some places, like make some fence lamps. And is this 100% legit? Because if it is than wow... amazing

It is 100% legit, yes. I planted a huge forest that to ages to remove when I was finished. Well, at least I have some spare wood, lol.
Also, I have tried with glowstone lamps. I don't really like it, because I need levers to have them turned on at all times, and that looks ugly.
As for the random torch spam on the ground, they will be removed. It's just temporary until I can build something that looks better and lights up everything at the same time.

I know, I normally plan ahead. But this was in my survival world, so I just carelessly went with things.

Thanks for the comment, by the way ;D
Go here and click on all my eggs please
Is my new level 30 diamond sword nice enough for you? >;D
How much to build me one?
You did a hell of a job.

Haha, I don't think I'll sell stuff like that in the near future. Too cheap money, lol. I could do it for free if I have time, though.
Thanks!
The interior isn't close to finished, but I could put up what I have. Just wait for it.
What's "tp"? And, thanks
Thanks!

Those "angry cows" live there. They're my friends. Do you hate them? D:
