If i were Jed, literally the first thing iw ould do would be to program the old (1.4 or 1.7) generator with swamps, strongholds, mineshafts, and ravines, the best parts of the generator :/
Remember when sheep dropped up to three wool when punched?
Remember when TNT activated with a hit?
Remember when we had snow?
Remember when zombies dropped feathers?
Remember when you could not sneak?
Remember when fire kept spreading forever?
Remember the glitched minecart boosters?
Remember Skylands?

sheep: I loved the sheep punching, don't like shears at all.
TNT: TNT was much easier :biggrin.gif:
Snow: We still have snow, that was just gone for 1.8.
Zombies: Yeah, now skeletons are actually the easiest way to get arrows!
Sneak: Fally fally dwarf!
Fire: Burned down over 5 houses that way.
Boosters: They worked, yes they did.
Skylands: Skylands? The best adventure map ever? Why I still play that, yes I do xD
Remember when:
Gold made the best hoes?
Zombies dropped feathers?
Making all diamond tools was considered awesome? Now they have to have high level Enchantments
When food directly healed you?
Slimes had black eyes and mouth?
F3 showed mob locations?
Grass and leaves were so much more green?
The "monster" mob?
Seeing a spider jockey was amazing?
Your house was a patchwork of wood, dirt, sand and cobblestone?
Those days were the best.

Gold: Yeah lol, gold is only good for powered tracks now D:
Zombies: And now skeletons steal the arrow business :/
Diamonds: Yeah, but I can say enchanting is fun
Food: tell me about it, I hate hunger
Slimes: They were sooooo cute!
F3: Yeah, that was convenient.
Grass: I miss the bright grass!
Monster: I can't say I remember that D:
Jockey: It really still is for me xD
House: TELL ME ABOUT IT! I miss my dirt shack more than I miss my 200x90 castle!
I remember my first world, where I was afraid of evil mobs and refused to go up from peaceful. I remember having nearly all of it made of wood and yet thought it still looked nice. I remember trying to make a fireplace and exiting using my inventory to avoid saving once the house started burning. I remember having a hallway mine that went too far to see the end of it on far render distance. I remember when mob spawning was not annoying and worrying, where it was just random and simple. I remember making a wool carpet, and a day later finding that there was the colored wool update. I remember freaking out about that update and my new found ability to make a beautiful red carpet.
I remember accidentally deleting this wonderful world while playing around with seeds after an update.
I remember the nostalgic times I'd have where I'd want it back.
Like now.
What about when you ran out fo prokchops in a cave, you peed yourself a bit, but kept spelunking, instead of going back for a food run? I do like the food bar, but i do wish it was optional sometimes :/
This.
Remember when you never had to worry about animals becoming extinct from the lack of spawning?
Remember when bread stacked before the hunger bar was implemented and it was actually worth making for food?
I do hate animals going extinct. They still despawn, though. I went out exploring for 5-6 days, came back, and my cow pen was empty. It was fences 2 high surrounding the whole thing. 6 cows just dissapeared!!! And it was SSP.
I remember when your worlds were named World 1, World 2, World 3, World 4, and World 5 with no way to change it and how that was all the worlds you got.

My friend asked me how you get minecarts to move. I told her to push it. She asked me how you push things.
Let's play a game: We all list some of favorite memories of minecraft, from before (And this is very important; it isn't nostalgia if it's past the adventure update), something alon the lines of: Remember when you thought string was tought o get? If done right, a tale of an old, lost world will spark a memmory, which will spark another and another. So on and so fourth.
I'll start: Remember the first mod you downloaded? Mine was More creeps and weirdos, done on the single greatest world I had ever created. it led to a HUGE overblow of mods, until i ran out of sprites :tongue.gif:
Between BF, TW and ESS yes. I now have it all in this game.
Oh, wait!

Building a straw made of stone and ladders since: March 2011. I is before E except after C unless it is weird.
I miss the wacky terrain generation. Creations I did before I just can't replicate now without spending hours building my own tall hills in the middle of deserts, plains, or forests. Everything is just too flat. Mountain biomes don't even make up for it. Frankly, swamps would become awesome if the 1.7 terrain generator was returned. Waterfalls galore!
You kiddies are doing it wrong. I remember when there was no survival mode at all. Just creative.
It was pretty fun. Those were the days when you could spawn steve mobs by pressing "g", and have a bunch of stupid steves aimlessly roaming the world.
Well at least now in Creative(when the next update is done, that is), you can spawn villager mobs by throwing eggs and have a bunch of stupid villagers aimlessly roaming the world.

In the real world, you stick your head in the dirt to hide from problems.
In Minecraft, you stick your head in the dirt to find problems.
I remember.....
Looking at paulsoarsjr "how to survive first MC night" for help
Mining coal with my hand and wondering why it didn't drop
Being reaaaalllyyyyy scared of monsters
Mistaking wood with planks
I made a three room two high underground house and thought it was amazing
I found my first spawner (skeleton) and died 30 times
Cobblestone was dark
No mountain, swamp, ocean or mooshroom biomes
No endermen!
No annoying enchanting languages
don't forget the mountains!

For me it was, because for some reason, Spiders used to spawn extremely rarely for me. It took many weeks until I actually saw a Spider. Good times...

I remember how awkward it was to have green maple trees in an arctic tundra.
I remember how awesome it was finding out that in a game with only a few block types including grass and sand, one of them was a record player.
I remember accidentally deleting this wonderful world while playing around with seeds after an update.
