I was in my house earlier, and i heard a wind noise. I shrugged it off, thinking it was a glitch or a random sound effect or something. Then, later, I heard it again. I looked up what it was, and people have asked this question. Only, they heard the wind because they were near a mine or in one. I am no where near a mine, nor am I in one. What is this noise?
I don't think its either of those things. Because:
1. Its not a cave because im in a superflat world and there are no caves around.
2. I have no mods.
3. I KNOW my minds not playing tricks. I really heard it.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a cave. Any large, dark area will produce cave sounds, I think. So if you have a big box that's both hollow and dark inside, it could still produce cave noises.
It is most likely one of the ambient noises in Minecraft, which occurs in dark places (ranging in any light level) and can come in 13 different flavors: guitar chords, angelic singing, bass, demonic roar, ringing, engine, silent gong, menacing whiff, distance aeroplane, violin screech, train passing by, loud bell, and a demonic grunt. If you feel disturbed by it, you can follow the three choices:
1) Obtain or create a resource pack that eliminates the cave ambience (that is what they are called)
2) Find a mod that enables custom sounds into Minecraft that eliminates the cave ambience. From previous experiences, a short lagspike will occur
3) Turn all Minecraft sounds off

To both of you guys, my house if very lit up, and it is daytime
What you are hearing is cave ambiance. It plays when you are in dark areas. It also plays during day time. I experience things like this, cave ambiance playing in broad light, although for me it's rare. Can you show us a picture of the house, and the interior, and, if you can, show us a video of the sound playing, please?
Superflat's chunks are same as default, the only difference is that the biomes don't change in super flat,it remains Plains.Your house might be in a chunk(s) with imaginary caves9yes minecraft renders caves in super flat even though they're not there)and it's making cave noises.

No need to be scared Freezie04. Just be cool and remember noises have never hurt anything.
It's probably just whatever that thing is that lives under your bed.... or maybe it's the one in the closet. Whichever one it is I'm mostly sure there's no reason to be scared.
Mostly.
1.) A random cave noise. Your house might be built on top of a dark cave.
2.) Something from a mod is making the noise.
I'd say it's most likely your house being on top of a cave, and you're hearing cave sounds.
I just heard it again, and it was stronger. I am on a superflat world, so no, there are no caves around. Also, I dont have any mods.
I'm scared.
Well, like i said, i dont have any mods.
