Surprised noone posted this simple and compact day counter:
What you'll need: 2 Chests, 1 Redstone dust, 1 Daylight sensor, 1 Hopper, whatever leftover dirt or cobble you have crowding your chests from mining.
Instructions:
Place the 2 chests as a double chest.
Connect a hopper to the double chest (Do this by shift-clicking the double chest with a hopper in hand).
Connect the hopper to the daylight sensor by using the redstone dust.
Put the dirt and cobblestone into the hopper.
Done!
How it works: When its daytime the daylight sensor activates the hopper which dispenses one cobblestone or dirt into the chest. During nighttime it shuts off and the next day another block goes into the chest.
Then after a few days/hours of playing minecraft look into the chest. Each block in the chest = 1 minecraft day.
Once redstone is off of the hopper, it just vomits it's contents. You need to set up a one tick pulse (gogo wiki) so that it only drops a single block.
Ask in the redstone section. Those guy would know how to make something you're looking for.
I use a mod that makes the days much longer and then I thought about how great it would be to keep track of how many days has past.
I thought about making a redstone device but after seeing a video of one who made a redstone calendar, I quickly gave up lol. Here is the link btw.
Do anyone know of a mod maybe?
I could of course use a book and do it manually but that's not what I want to spend time on.
Any suggestions are welcome!
This is probably true, still do searching.
True. You could have a piston push a block of sand or gravel into a hole by using a daylight sensor,

Don't forget to restock every so often.

Not sure what im doing wrong here but what happens is this: Ater a day all my rubble from the hopper ends up in the chest.
Can it be the time mod that messes things up?
