You know who's hard to kill? Herobrine! Untouchable! XD. Zombies should be easy cause they aren't smart.
1. Zombies eat brains, but don't know to eat their own
2. Zombies can carry feathers to help attack you
4. Zombies are slow.
5. In almost all media the real problem with zombies is that THERE ARE A TON OF THEM
Skeletons, eh.
1. Skeletons are zombies except they are decayed to the point where they are just a skeleton (what i dont get is how the structure of a skeleton stays up. It's just the infrastructure with no muscles or or connective tissue to hold it together [Magic maybe?])
2. Skeletons know how to fire a bow
3. They still fire slower than the player can.
4. The have to charge the arrow fully
5. With careful serpentine movement, it's pretty easy to avoid
So really, the skeleton is okay. Zombies' sensing is too far (32 blocks you said?) but everything else is ok.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you do, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
I think the zombies are rather deserving of their buffs. They've always been called one of the easiest mobs to beat; a pushover, by many.
Well, there needs to be some very basic mob with no special qualities at the bottom of the totem pole. I think they are fine, considering the other dangers around.
But those goddamn skelie knockbacks... especially when they jump you in a ravine and you have to get up to them... more practice for bows, I guess.

That's true, I guess... but note that zombies already can break doors, attack villages in masses, and infect testificates, increasing their number. I guess I'm contradicting myself now.

"You tried mercenary work? It might suit you."
"On a scale of one mile to Lord of the Rings, how far did you walk today?"
Well, they are "hard enough" that you have to take some time to defend yourself, but their primary threat is when you are already fighting off a skeleton or creeper or something more sinister, since you have to decide which to take out first.
I mean, spiders are pretty weak, except their ability to cross defenses... so each mob has a role, and the zombie is just the grunt.

I think that instead of making the normal game harder they should make another difficulty setting. Maybe 2 even, peacceful, very easy could replace easy. easy would replace normal normal would replace hard, then there would be hard and very hard/impossible. When you first start and you have nothing, even easy seems difficult and annoying but when you get diamonds, everything seems easy and boring. thats why they need new difficulty so that when you start everything isnt too op but when you get diamonds you can get something that is actually challenging

That what has almost gotten me killed in servers with full iron armor, since i'm still not used to the new skellys.
I always enjoy the challenge of mobs, even when a creeper explodes all my chest, I hate it absolutely, yet a part of me enjoys it. Keeps things interesting.

Exactly, creepers were meant to blow you and what you gather up. So when it happens, It was supposed to happen. I don't get why people rage so much when a creeper explodes and kills them/ their chests. The creeper is not supposed to be the equaviliant to a care bear people, It's meant to blow you up and basically ruin your day.
On topic, no. Zombies needed a buff, Minecraft was just way to easy once you had full iron and even just a stone sword. Just keep swinging and they can't touch you. The only times I myself ever really died was from accidents, falling into a ravine, lava, or even once when I was TNT mining out a room in FTB, I placed a charge in the wall, and one behind me, blew up the first charge and it closed off my exit with GRAVEL, the other blew up and killed me instantly. Wish I'd have recorded that one.
The night is supposed to be feared, not Pyro Land;
Actually, the parts where Pyro is in the real-world should be the night, in Pyro Land, what should NOT be night.
well i play minecraft casually and the new zombies kinda ruin it for me
Peaceful mode is there, you know. If you don't want to slay enemies and miss half of what Minecraft is about, then play on Peaceful. And before anyone says "Well just killing things isn't 'half' of Minecraft", It actually is. There are many weapons to do so, 5 swords and a bow to do so, plus many enchantments only meant for killing things, Fire Aspect, Looting, Sharpness, etc. Mob spawners, and the night are all meant to provide combat. So yes, Minecraft is at the very least half combat. Take the combat out, and you're missing half the game.

Well, the game is called Mine-Craft, not Mine-Fight-Craft-Fight, and really the real Minecraft of the game is mining. And crafting :/

I agree somewhat. If you practice, you can defeat them though ( with a diamond sword ).
Useless things, the concept of our minds.
Yeah. Not real happy about that. Now it's almost necessary to use a bow.
Zombies aren't much trouble though they can set you on fire if they get too close.

buffed up mobs have made it more challenging again, which is a good thing.
I agree, there needs to be a greater threat level... The Nether is only threatening because you can fall. The rest, meh.

Use a bow? Well, guess what, the bow was meant to be used. It's not a novelty.
