Minecraft credits were made for no reason but to be there. Then again you have to ask yourself why minecraft was made? For fun? To escape reality? Or just to be there?
well my opinion is that it means we get so much into the game it becomes our alternative reality. thats why when he states wake up he means to wake up like realiaze your reality and how messed up it is. in the game you creating things from nature and sharing it with friends, exploring anything you want. your also doing things not allowed or limited to do in the real reality; it helps you see all the limitation that are applied to us on a daily bases. what it also does in a way is teach us to survive,it shows you what type of material you need to make simple tools and how to apply those simples tools to help you make and break things more effectively. the game also shows how we can be creators;how we influence our surroundings through our action in reality, but in the game its more applied towards the terrian cause we get to manipulate the terrian to our liking.in reality our thoughts and actions apply to more than just our terrian it could apply to anything from how your day goes to what you eat for dinner. the game also you need food to survive and you have to hunt for it you have wild cows pigs etc. i know thats obvious but i still need to point it out.. it teaches how to cultivate and grow different kinds of crops. now ask yourself where else were you taught this things nowhere unless you played a farm games or live in a farm or the wild.. idk i guess then you would learn this stuff.... anyways in the game reality you can do all this stuff but in our reality we are limit we cant just cut a random tree from a random place and make it to a house or a something else that benefits with out getting question... you cant just walk around the streets or town in the middle of the night without being questioned you cant just make your house fortified without being questioned you cant own animals in your back yard without being questioned that does not apply towards domestic pets... and also to people who live in ranches or the wild... anyways it also shows us how abundant things are and how we cant just build things on our own instead of paying thousands of dollars for wood and stuff that they got or made free from everyones land.... when we first begin we build structures that arent really that creative or "advance" then after a few hours boom your imagination kicks and your expressing yourself and have fun. well the game teaches you alot and the ending just in a way is trying to tell us to apply what we learned from the the alternative reality or "dream" to our reality and how we need to wake up and notice the constant limitations and the constant lies that we are told everyday of our lives.. wake up my fellow people and realize what is really happening behind the veil. notice how your everyday life is limited by people who have influence over the things you buy and make and do. so like the poem said "WAKE UP"!!! ITS TIME TO SEE THE WORLD FOR WHAT IT TRUELY IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is literally NO ingame information pointing towards what you have to do. You can't just "come across it" unless you're playing hardcore trying every combination, and besides, from what it seems like you're expected to "know" you're going into the End, what with the credits and everything, as opposed to "Let's see what happens if I put THIS in here...WHOOPS, WHERE AM I?!?!?!?!?".
Plus, villager trading totally broke it. You were supposed to defeat the strongest overworld & Nether mobs, collect their drops and make them into eyes for use in the portal. Now just purchase the eyes for emeralds from a villager. ?
I love this. A few people must've killed themselves after reading this. This is REALLY REALLY deep. After reading the whole thing, (which I've done countless times), I've put together a meaning that sums it up completely. The woman who wrote this, (I forget her name) , is basically saying there Is reality after life, and life is just a long dream, and the game is a short dream within the long. To sum it up, everything is a lie, and we are living in a dream. A dream is something our minds invented. Reality is itself, there is no description. Pretty cool. Don't judge It until you read the whole thing
U are looking at this the wrong way. When Mojang released the end and the dragon the game isn't over they just made u think it was the end thus the name. They put their best poet to write the end poem saying that u made the world into something and they want to tell you the secret of life. I have to admit I could have gone without the poem going on for ten whole minutes! But they did that to show u that there is more in minecraft than u think.
What I understood from the ending was:
"You finished Minecraft now go finish the real world, the game is finished your life has just started, Don't waist the best dream of all, Life"
You are all missing the point, The ending is saying you are starting to get more powerful, and if I'm correct the achievement right after "the End" is "The beginning" Meaning there is more out there to adventure and discover, plus, I also think they are implying updates. as if trying to imply, the adventure has just begun. Meaning more additions, blocks, mobs, and structures to add to the endless adventure. Minecraft never ends. Witch makes it one of THE most UNIQUE game ever. No other games are like it, unless of course, you count those dumb apps that rip off minecraft, ex. Survivalcraft, Mini Craft, Tropical Craft: Summer Story, and so on.
You beat minecraft! YAY! Now get off your butt and go outside! The whole world is passing you by as you play in a virtual one!
I skipped after ending said my nickname.

"Congrats you beat a dragon now get off the computer and do something"
Meh. It is not an end to the game. Just an end to the "story".
