From looking at MINECRAFT vids,
I thought it was soo hard to kill creepers so I set it to hard and then killed it with my
Bare fists. I then got real cocky and was boasting, then another one snuck up on me
From behind and well you figure out the rest. =/
What do you think? I was like "tappy-tappy-tappy wood" and then I wondered why the heck I wasn't getting anything. However, then it began to evolve in my head, and within weeks I was practically a pro at Minecraft.

I'm still using Windows 7.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
I built a house, then I tried to make a river. This was before I knew water could spread out 7 blocks from the source block. Kinda wish I hadn't deleted the world, though I messed the terrain up a bit around my house.
Back in my days we didn't have these fancy shmancy "Minecraft" and "computers"! We only had LEGOS, and how did we use them? Put them in front of someone's door and let them step on them *chuckle* good times.
I was terrible. I found this village right by where i spawned and I tried to survive on one of the roofs. I had the pocket edition for my iPad so I knew a little bit about it though. I also found this app called mine craft pro. It has crafting recipes and tutorials. It told me what to do in the first 10 seconds and the rest of the day. If anyone reading this has a smartphone, iPod iPad, or anything that can download apps, mine craft pro costs a few bucks bet it tells you what every block/item in the game is + what it does, blueprints for AMAZING things, tells you about every creature, every crafting, furnace, and brewing recipe, and it tells you how to make mob traps, it even has a few links to different texture packs, and more! It tells you every thing you need to know about mine craft.

I have an iPad but I won't download it because that's what the minecraft wiki's and tutorials are for, and they don't cost money.

I remember the first like 30min I played the full version. I think it was this year actually. I was so scared of all the sounds, cause I had only played the Alpha or whatever it was called, the Classic version for like 1-2 months and everything was so different, haha. It was REALLY scary and now I like go out with normal gear and fight just for fun ^^. Minecraft is da best!
I've played both, it is really different!

Of course I am the kind of person who likes to figure things out myself unless the game has a tutorial. Which Minecraft doesn't. I thought "How hard can it be?"
Then I got things like Pistons, Redstone, Creepers, Endermen, The Nether etc.

I remember when I first played Minecraft. All of my steam friends were always playing Minecraft alot, and I decided I should just check it out. I first played the classic free mode for a few days. I never really liked it, but one my steam friends keep telling me that the full game was alot better, and had day/night! I finally bought the game, and joined his server and I was just liked "The heck do I do?". After a couple of days following everyone around, I got the hang of the basics. Tired of living in my friend's house basement (secretly) I built a big ugly cobble stone house on a beach, all of the supplies were "borrowed" for a quarry near by.

haha, I didn't go on servers. Btw it's not a secret anymore, *wink wink*
Instinct told me what to do... and my instinct was always correct!
Good for you and your instincts, mine kept telling me to jump off a cliff.

Pretty skeptical initially, I didn't think it was going to be any fun. I booted it up and realized I had no clue what I was doing, so I watched a "Your first night" video and from there I didn't sleep for a couple days. I didn't do much exploration (I still really don't, I just barely made my first map), my main focus was building and it still is. I even harvest my own material still :3

Got it in alpha, lost interest in the game. Once creepers were added, one snuck up on me when I was in my house. Blew up and killed me. Didn't play minecraft for a week.
I was pretty much all set to play once I bought the game.

Irony in the first degree.

These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.

Oh wait! There is!
Yeah in a nutshell. But I don't care for creative mode ironically enough.
