I Apologize if this topic doesn't fit the category and please move this if its the wrong place.
Am I the one whose late/Am I Dreaming or did I discover something.
But I found out(maybe?) that torches stops the water sources completely.
I read the wiki about torches but nothing came out about this
Try putting a torch at the water source. And It will stop.
Is this a bug? I think it is because Torches are suppose to detach when it is place on water.
Please close this thread if its pointless... because I am dumb for starting this thread and making it a big deal :tongue.gif:
..I thought before you just wern't able to place them in water?
And when water came in contact with them, it detached them.
But now you can place it in a 1 block deep water source (much like where swamps are) and it gets rid of a whole source block, and the rest of the water just flows around it.
Bleh. Stupid swamps. Off topic. Torches. Stupid torches. >:\
If you place the torch at the exact position where the water source block is, the source is replaced before water can flow at the torch's spot and break it. This is because you can place any block in liquids. If you place the torch into an other water block, water flows and destroys the torch.

Yes, i too thought everyone knew about it.. Creepy huh..
But Normally, torches will detach when place in water...
Yeah, if there is MORE water to destroy it.
If you cut off the source, nothing stops it.
It's not the water you replace that destroys the torch
