Anyway I would strongly prefer an update schedule that favors small, weekly updates over large monthly (or bi-monthly) ones. I'd rather have the villages now and the endermen next week than waiting two months for the wholehalf the package.
I've spent more for less. I'm happy with the direction Minecraft is headed and the pace doesn't bother me one bit. Spend less time obsessing about things that don't matter.

What matters to you may not matter to me.

Given that a new thread calling him lazy comes out every day I wouldn't blame him for being slightly irritable.
What? The hundreds of thousands of blind fanboys who just kiss the booboo left on his ego away after he has been insulted over the internet arent good enough?
It's pretty obvious that they have a terrible work ethic. It's been months since the last update came out, which included nothing but pistons (made by a modder) and sheers, which are useless. 1.8 should have been released today, biome code and all. It's inexcusable that they're splitting the most important Minecraft update into two parts, and leaving NPC's, arguably the most notable aspect of the update, for 1.9. I'm beginning to lose a lot of respect for mojang with each half-assed update they release.
People expect Minecraft to be updated like a regular game. Regular games have teams of 100 or more people working on it. Mojang? 6 people, if I'm correct. You expect 6 people to.. Uhg.. >.>
When one person out of the 100s of people working on a game takes a vacation no one notices. Even if they took regular vacations it's not noticeable because of how many people they have. Mojang takes the same amount of vacations, probably less, than other game companies do. But due to their small crew it's very noticeable. So noticeable that people scream and cry about them taking vacations.

Developer teams that have alot of people also handle very complex games.
Coding minecraft is childs play. The hundreds of game changing mods that are made within a couple weeks prove this.

I'm guessing you didn't play Minecraft when weekly updates were as common as delays. When Notch was by himself he updated more than when he had a company of 6. Hell, he coded more back when he had a job outside of Minecraft than he does when Minecraft is providing for him.

This is what alarms me the most, I think. It almost feels like we were just a stepping stone to get him to where he wanted to be, and now that he's there we are no longer necessary.

If you're going to blame it on Mojang not having enough employees, like other people have said Notch use to do more solo than the whole team does now. And with all the millions they made should be able to hire more people if that really is the problem. I guess they just want to treat the company more like a group of friends than a business.
Quite frankly, yes, I DO hate the way the updates are going. More promised content, less delivered content, longer developement times, more bugs. I do not like this, and I honestly cant understand how anyone would defend this.
Anyways, im sure this is going to be locked 'because its inviting a flamewar' or something.

I'm not blaming them. I'm perfectly content with the amount of updates we're getting. I don't give a crap if Notch used to update more often than he does now. Things change. You're playing a Beta game. You TEST the game. That means Notch can work at his own pace because he could've kept Minecraft to himself until he was finished and ready for the game to be tested.
It's rather annoying how Notch spent so much time starting his own company, then proceeds to have the vast majority of them work on something other than Minecraft.
Alright Sparky, I could tell you I am 31, former Navy and Marine, but it's the internet... I could claim to Obama for ****s sakes.
BUT
Here is the truth...
The majority of the people are kids ranging the age 13, and they complain about updates.
The expect people to cater to their punk @#$% needs... these are whiners and complainer and deserve all the hate that befalls them.

Oh boy where to begin
-ITS A BETA
And yet modders do more for the development than him.

If things change for the worse something is going WRONG.

Fixed that for you.

Well, I'm not surprised.

Chariots Chariots
Pot meet Kettle.
Am i the only one that finds it ironic that its the 13 year olds that call OTHERS 13 year olds?
Wuts up wiff dat?
How comes the least thought out responses are all trying to catch attention by making it bold and big, or a neoncolor. or both.

That probably would have been better.
