i had 60 obsidian 901 wood 500 gold 90 torches 100 diamond blocks and i had just blocked up the lava and a creeper fell on me and blew me up my items were burnt apart from 1 wooden plank
I was coming back to my house after an amazing find of aroudn a stack of iron and 9 diamonds.
I was near a waterfall leading into a lava pit. So i was sneaking near the exit of my mine.
I saw a creeper and hit it with my diamond sword, it proceeded to explode because it didnt get knocked back far enough. I survived the explosion untill i fell into the lava pit.
Once a creeper was coming at me and I was walking backwards away from it while dodging a skeleton... Then a creeper behind me blew up (I survived) then another one came in the side and blew up, then the front one blew up and I died :sad.gif:

Lava is the worst because if you die in it you can't recover your items, as they too get burned in the lava.

That once happened to me when I had loads of iron, gold, diamond etc, I just INVedited everything valuable back in.
Cheaty, I know, but I really wasn't in the mood for that
I dont have a worst creeper memory but i will say i have a best i had started my first world and i was making shelter and what not when it turned night i still was not finished and i had about 3 skeletons naermy entrance then a comes up and blows a hole open in my entrance and the explosion apparently killed the 3 skeletons and giving me a nice entrance

Creepers, love 'em or hate 'em , they'll still blow up your house. I'd just like to know , your worst or best Creeper memories.
I'll start.
I just finish making a massive "TNT trap" for my cousin on our SMP server when a Creeper crept up on on me and took my life and left a hole the size of New York.
EDIT: This just happened, I was mining and i broke into a natural cave by one block so I could just see in and there was 5 creepers bouncing around.
Re-Edit: Okay, this thread is bigger then I thought, thanks guys and alot of people know this already , but if you put half blocks, monsters can't spawn on them, so think about while making courtyards ;D.
Made my first sand house on an island. I think I wasted a total of 6 hours on it. I was smelting diamonds inthe furnaces and I went to go check how my mob farm was doing outside. I turned around. ssssssssssSSSSSSSSSSsssssssss BOOOOOM!
Turned me off minecraft for like 2 weeks.
When I came back to minecraft I spent another hour looking for my base. I decided that I would track down every single creeper and kill them in the hopes I would kill one of the creepers related to the creeper who blew me up. I didn't really understand how they worked and I saw a creeper trying to kill a skeleton I followed the creeper until the daytime and it turns out I stepped on a TNT trap which I placed AGESSS ago. And Ka-Boom! And guess what, the creeper lived.
A purposefully difficult-to-detect mob that inflicts a massive burst of damage within an instant of sneaking up on you. Hilarious concept, gameplay value = dog ****. Especially for a game partly about being creative and making cool stuff. Silence, hiss, boom, and oh joy, time to clean something. That's what I call gameplay! I'd personally rather spend my time fighting mobs who are actually interesting to fight, not a mob that's designed to avoid the possibility of combat, a mob who just makes me have to do maintenance on stuff.
I went down to explore a cave, fell down in a hole and got blown up by a creeper, right after that, another creeper came out of nowhere and blew up, then a THIRD creeper came and blew up, plus, there were 3 zombies and a skeleton nearby, I somehow survived, but I put the game on Peaceful after that while exploring the cave.
The worst experiences I have is when I have just experienced a creeper explosion, but luckily not damaging any of my structures. Then while I am rebuilding the creeper hole another little bugger comes out of nowhere but this one damages my structures. It sometimes feels like they just watch you and wait for the perfect moment. :ohmy.gif:

I would sign my name hence this being a signature, but the keyboard prevents me. So I will just say hello. Why not check out the great gaming website I currently write for Here.
I was making a Mob Killer/Auto Collect arena, while mining it out, a creeper somehow crept behind me and blew up. It was on a server where it doesn't making an explosion, but does do the damage. So, I looked back after getting hurt (I didn't die) and there was nothing, and the arena was small enough that nothing could spawn around me (I didn't have any spawners) so I was like "wtf?" and I continued mining.
Are we turning genitive pronouns into objective pronouns, now? Okay, fine.
"Me worst Creeper moment was... I can not remember. It has been such a long time since last time I actually got killed by a Creeper, but I do not think it was such a bad happening. In fact, I think it was me own fault. As long as you are not dare-devil enough to go outside without looking around first, you will not suffer the consequences. In caves you must be swift and dexterous. You must also use yeh hearing and try not to fall a-foe to any enemy whilst dodging Creepers and taking them out swiftly with a sword, or safely with a bow. Swords have unlimited ammo, but they wear out. Bows require ammo, but never wear out. Learn the ways of the sword to become the best fighter. Learn the ways of the bow to become the best sniper.
That is all."
TL;DR: I have had no terrible Creeper moments as far as I know.

my 3rd house was a cove and as I was working on the entryway a creeper jumped off and exploded taking me and 2 blocks of my lava moat with it flooding my house with lava and burning all my Inventory
On my server, me and my friend were s[elunking, and started hearing mob sounds, so we started digging everywhere.
We found a cave and a creeper jumped through the hole, the server lagged. and we both got damaged.
This then happened 3 more times. Still alive, we decided to just jump in there and see if there was anything good.
5 creepers were hiding over the hole.
It did not end well.

I opend my house's door... and somehow a creeper fell from the sky and landed right in front of me
I almost shat my pants
This happened to me once. Wolves had just come out and I was bringing home my second doggy. Unfortunately my first dog perished in my mine, but I was confident this one would live. We made it back to my house on the side of a cliff and I made him sit.
On my first server I had built an amazing little house. I loved it! Then I went to sleep in my bed and a creeper spawned in my house during my sleep and exploded. Then as soon as I respawned 2 more creepers came out of nowhere and exploded destroying the rest of my house creating a gapping hole. Then loads of mobs started killing me repeatedly. So now I have a new server. Thanks creepers!
For the first time I felt like actually attacking a creeper even though I had no need to. I ran up to a creeper just left of a hill. I hit it once, backed off so it would sizzle down and a creeper from behind the hill blew me up. I've never attacked a creeper when I didn't need to sense then... it scared the crap out of me and even if I would've survived I would have fallen into my Monster Grinder thingy below...

You can't smelt diamonds.
