I think that furnace carts, when a hopper is above, filled with coal or a burnable source, fuel it. This would make it possible to make trains that you could hop on. This would make transportation much easier. You would be able to fill the furnace cart from the side. Hopper carts would be able to fill it from all sides, but on the bottom it would extract the items. They could drive on the side in case it stops or runs out.
Just a note, a nerf is when you decrease the usefulness of something, when you increase its usefulness (like with this suggestion), then that is called a buff.

The problem with the truth, is that it never lies.
You can already use them for trains and even hop on, you're dreams already came true. They were already buffed and they can push many treasure carts up steep hills. They last several minutes too.
Did you even bother reading the Op? Like, at all? His suggestion is that hoppers above the furnace Minecarts will feed coal into them and power them.

Regarding the suggestion, I do support this idea. Would it be possible for hopper minecarts to refill the furnace carts as well?

I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

Yes, thanks for that too, and you could have a hopper cart running on a seperate track filled with coal to refuel it in case it stops or runs out. So, yes. I think that would work
Why not also allow furnace carts, command block carts, dropper carts, and chest minecarts output a signal through comparactors? I have always questioned why furnace minecarts don't seem to have actual inventory slots...

Yes, possibly the ones that can hold items, not command blocks.
Sounds great, support! It may require a bit of backwards reprogramming of the furnace carts on Mojang's part, but if someone could make a small mod, that would help even more.

I definetly support.

Is there a problem with command blocks outputing a signal if the command has run successfully?
