Yeah, I apologize, i did not read your main topic to the full extent. Great idea though. I hope that someday I will have enough knowledge to make a mod like this. In the meantime, keep trying to get someone to help you. It is a great idea that I would definitely download.
I support, it is a cool idea, but there should be an option on world creation disable them, also it probably would require a good computer as well as the fact that this looks like it would be a coding nightmare

Hydra dragon thing aside, it wouldn't cause lag problems at all.
It's good to keep the number of world options low.
FBs would have to use a different day counter to default, since that's often meddled with.
Some counting down variable such as fbday.
So to disable you'd go /fbday 999999999999.
OH MY GOSH!!! This is the best suggestion ever! (Imagine fighting the dragon mentioned!)
First person to mention the hydra dragon! Looks like someone has actually thoroughly read the thread.
A dozen players with well enchanted gear would have a hard time against it.
Skill, however, would help a lot, since every single attack is avoidable.
I really like this idea, but the beasts should attack bats.
I assume you meant shouldn't.
Which I agree with.
Oh, I had already specified bats were not to be attacked.
Having these things attack bats is a very, very stupid idea.

There are 2 reasons they should attack bats:
1. to get them away from their caves so that you aren't necessarily safe if you stay away from their lair
1. to get them away from their caves so that you aren't necessarily safe if you stay away from their lair
2. I hate bats
These things do a lot more wandering than normal mobs, because as there are so few, it won't be system resource costly to make them wander even while far from the player, so bats are not needed to lure them.
Also, having them target bats will really screw up the map if they have any projectile other than poison.
This is an excellent idea for new mini-bosses! I like it! Especially when you're bored of fighting zombies...and you want to fight a monster.
Full support.

Looks like someone finally left Forum Games.
Agh, posting on this is so slow due to the fact that people don't like just posting straight support.
I'm considering putting something obviously wrong in the OP just to get more posters.
Ok, I'll post. I'm not giving support and I didn't want to post a negative comment without real constructive criticism which I why I avoided the suggestion.
Primarily I think the suggestion is overly complicated for existing MC. If it gets added, it should be added gradually. First, I'd start by just implementing a randomization algorithm to existing mobs. Add sub-types to existing mobs which can tweak their behavior, stats, and appearance.
For example, why not have skeletons with weapons other than bows? Why not have zombie that are bigger, stronger, or faster?
Then once, that's be included, I'd look into adding mini-bosses that play off of existing mobs. Like how about a giant bat that spawns rarely on nights of a full moon? Or a massive silverfish that hides around the ender portal?
Finally, once randomization is incorporated and mini-bosses in the overworld are incorporated, THEN I would look into incorporating a variety of random mini-bosses. Otherwise you run the risk of creating a new system that's an order of magnitude more complicated than anything else already existing in the game. It would feel out of place and forced.
One more thing, I have no idea what beast eggs are for. It sounds like some sort of pokemon mini-game. Collect eggs, raise them, create new monsters (?) and I assume tame them (?). This aspect of the suggestion could use further clarification, though my gut feeling (as with the rest) is it's too complicated.
Where is the "I posted" option in the poll? I chosen the first one because it is the closest to what I think.
Support. Adds a real challenge to darkness mining (without lighting up caves). I hate people who you mine with and they dont light up, or playing multiplayer and finding someone stripped the cave of ores but didn't light it up. This also adds a ghost-hunting type thing, where you venture in not seeing much and try to find something (in this case; the beasts)
Support EDIT: I just read the guy above me's post, I think that implementation would be best.
Cube World has randomly generated bosses, though the generation only applied to their attacks, abilities, and names.
I liked them, and I support!
If this suggestion was as simple as Cube World bosses, then I would probably support it as well. I've played a fair amount of Cube World and overall I liked it's potential. The bosses are a nice touch.
Wow! I must say, this post must have taken quite a while to write. Very, VERY creative idea! I love monsters and such, and this goes right up my ally. Sure, while this may take a lot of work to implement, it still would be insanely cool!
Also, just a side note, if you ever do make more models, make sure they go well with the style of the game. I like the picture you included a lot, I have nothing against it, I'm just saying for the future. A lot of people tend to make something look kinda blocky and call it a new Minecraft mob. It takes a bit more than that.

I haven't seen people failing to do Minecraft style often.
But yeah, that thing was made far too quickly.
And as for how long it took to make, including all the edits, some truly obscene amount of time.
All your mods are simple modifications of already existent mechanics.
This mod requires loads of entirely new mechanics.
Well, you appear to call it a + from your signature.

Well, time to put up a poll as to why no one is posting.
