Just be honest, when was the last time a creeper actually did any major damage which took more
than about 20 seconds for you to fix?
That's actually pretty funny. Good one. Not everyone builds their houses in the same way, and not everyone gets a chance to fully complete them before they run off and find more stuff to build with. You might have run out of some materials by the time you finished making that house.
When I read the title to this post I immediately imagined a creeper sleeping in a bed. An idea which I found hilarious. And might have even supported the notion of creepers trying to sleep in your unattended bed. (In practice I'm sure it would be annoying since you'd have to attack them to get them out of the bed and try to kill them before they ruin the inside of your house.)
However a Creeper just trying to destroy your bed? Nope. Not interesting, only annoying.
I'm probably just feeding into this by simply replying to you, but Creepers can already put gaping holes in our terrain, creations and health. Do you we really go that extra pointless mile and have Creepers get a hard-on for destroying beds too?
Well I'm sorry for just SUGGESTING AN IDEA because we've already seen the insane buffs to zombies and skeles but there have been no creeper updates...
I'm semi-interested to see what these would look like.
Anyways, "command blocks are the new checkpoint setters". That doesn't matter. Some people like beds rather than command blocks. Plus it can add a nice decorative use.
"There will be a mod to disable it". If I still had the look of dissapproval on my ctrl + v, it'd go here. Most adventure maps avoid mods because they can be annoying to install.
"You just got counter ninja'd". You keep using that word. It doesn't mean what you think it means. Anyone have that image?
Still no support. All of your points as to why it wouldn't harm mapmakers are invalid. But, here's yet another reason it'd harm custom maps: I like using beds as decoration. I don't like when creepers break my beds and ruin parts of my builds.
First, I used that ninja'd thing once as a joke cuz that other guy said it to me and second, IF YOU'RE SO AFRAID OF CREEPERS BREAKING A CHECKPOINT BED THEN PUT IT IN A ROOM
The reason people say bed made it way too easy was because you could skip the night. Also so people don't have houses for a few days and put their beds outside.
It's just a little added challenge for the beginning days of a world, also it would give a reason to buff creepers since I don't think they've changed (besides pathing) since they first came out...
(If 1.7 added this)
Thank you for my house being blown up because of that creeper that blew up my bed.
And so I will need to stay inside my newly rebuilt house all day because there is a creeper outside? And then I can't go to sleep because the creeper is closer than 30 blocks. Oh great. A zombie broke down my door so the creeper is entering, and he's just about to ssssssssssBOOM!!!
Well personally I would like the added challenge and here's an idea, KILL THE CREEPER STANDING OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR IT'S NO DIFFERENT THEN A ZOMBIE
This added > People complain > This removed > People complain because it added 'difficulty'.
It is a vicious cycle and it is best to not start it.
No Support.
The new zombie thing they added is 10000 times more harder in terms of difficulty then just creepers tracking beds... (plus I don't see the possibility of the zombie buffs ever being removed.)
No support. Also, this should no longer be discussed, as it is vague, OP and kinda useless. Also, in what version of Minecraft would creepers plant a GPS into your bed?
One could argue that this entire game is useless so I'll just ignore that part. "creepers should blow up beds" is pretty straightforward to me so i'll ignore that vague part too, and finally, this is no more OP as zombies right now...

I don't know why everyone thinks I'm trolling when I'm obviously not and I'm going to be honest with you right now, I don't understand what you said in the slightest.

You're doing a bit more than just SUGGESTING AN IDEA judging by that Chris Crocker avatar, and the fact that you went "You're welcome in advance for the great idea". Yeah, you're not very good at this.
How does zombies and skeletons getting a buff automatically warrant "Hey! Creepers need a buff too!" Because we'd all love to have our spawnpoints screwed up because Jeb decided "Creepers need to go for beds! This is something that players would like!" No.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.

At first I was gonna say Creepers should find and sleep in your bed and when you get close it explodes (meaning you need a bow to kill it) but assumed people would think I'm trolling. Let me ask you now kind sir, would you say hitting zombies only to spawn others around you not interesting and only annoying, and would you say zombies tracking you from really far distances annoying and not interesting as well?
This would be extremely annoying, and creepers that can track beds ruin the point of your house being a "safe haven". No support.
Also, please stop responding angrily to the people who criticise your idea. They're not trying to offend you, in fact, they're helping you. By paying attention to their criticism instead of just snapping back at them, you can learn what's bad about this idea and how you can improve future ones.

I don't see how using a certain avatar changes the fact that I'm suggesting an idea (which I'm not forcing you to like, btw) and I also don't understand how no one can take a joke with that "you're welcome in advance for the great idea" thing. And I do think that zombies and skeletons getting a buff do "automatically warrant" a new update to Creepers since they haven't had any since their release.

To reply to you're first comment, lets just remember I'm suggesting that creepers try to blow up your bed, not walk through walls. And a lot of these people aren't really being friendly with their replies, which I don't really care about but I will reply back to them, and also I haven't seen any actual valid points to why this is a bad idea yet.

Congrats, you didn't actually explain anything. You have to explain more rather than saying "creepers should get a buff because zombies and skeletons got them." That's like saying "Ghasts and Blazes shoot fireballs so slimes should too." Yeah, that's completely null reasoning.

Yeah and if cows can make a Mooing sound then pigs should fly.
But all joking aside, I don't see how the one thing applies to the other in your post, and also this isn't even about skeletons and zombies, I'm just suggesting that creepers should blow up beds...
Okay that is surprising how close that is to my post but I'll tell you what I did in my post, I suggested an idea that I think is a good one, nothing wrong with that.

Aaand there it is.
Just because you think an idea is good, doesn't mean everyone else does. Your opinion has no effect on the opinions of others.
I actually do slightly support this, since it would force people to put their beds in a safe and secure location. However, I think it would be better to make beds just not work unless they're in something that can be defined as a "house".

Hey, my idea adds more meaning to the name, "Creeper", that's all.
Light up the area around you or just block it off and creepers probably won't be spawning anywhere near your bed...
Are you seriously not supporting this?

Exactly..I agree entirely. Perhaps, IF ANYTHING, a hardcore mode feature...which would render it useless, as you cant respawn anyways.
