On the surface extreme caverns looks like a standard forest biome, But the real attraction to this biome is under the surface.
Caves generated in this place are *MASSIVE*, I'm talking 40 or more feet METERS GOD DAMMIT, METERS. in heights and open spaces that can cover dosens of chunks.
And the best of it? Giant mushrooms, Everywhere.Everyone hates mushrooms apparantly, Am I the only one that loves the fungi?
And silverfish spawn naturally here, Aswell as a large amount of silverfish blocks hidden about.
Fimally, You can be a REAL dwarf without spending your entire life blowing open a cave to build your dwarf fortress, You can be MANLY and STEAL your caverns from the silverfish menace!
Too bad this biome's pretty damn rare, Not quite as rare as mushroom islands but still rare enough that finding one makes you "speshul".
So yeah, May aswell call this the "dwarfy hole" biome.
I thought there were already extreme caverns when 1.8 "adventure update" came out? but i dont like the silverfish and huge mushrooms in there. I like where they are now in mc.

Good sir, I think you mean extreme HILLS.
There's a small difference, The difference being the extremeness here is UNDER the boring terrain.

I lke the idea of having massive caverns but I'm not really sure why we need giant mushrooms. Also, since it's rare it shouldn't have a large amount of silverfish blocks. There could still be some but not as much. the cavern should be rewarding.
Also, since it is a biome are there another other special properties? Like no monsters spawn in mushroom biomes.
They seem to be poking fun at the overgrown cave generation, but I very much understand and like the sound of this. There's not nearly enough rare spawns in world as is.
Nope, That's what makes it a lousy biome that brings NOTHING to the table. :y
If it brings NOTHING and is "lousy" then why should you expect it to be implemented in minecraft?
Large caverns would be nice to have but not as a biome, but just spawning on occasion much in the same way as ravines, maybe with rivers flowing through them? Because ore is moved to the cave wall when a cave is generated on the ore, the walls could be rich with minerals appropriate for the depth because of the size of the cavern, thus the reward for finding one.

If you post something in the suggestions forum and expect it to be added you're doing it wrong, Since noone important actually READS these forums this is just a place for you to let off your brain farts and get raged at by everyone else. I think I've succeeded here. c:

But anyway, it sounds like an excellent place to explore and for silverfish to spawn, as you can only find them in strongholds (and only three generate per world).

Support.
Well, That's one person who knows the joys of being a dwarf.

Sadly I'm not a dwarf, I'm but a lowly rabbit.
I haven't earned the title of dwarf, Noone truely does until they learn how not ot suck at dwarf fortress. (Most confusing and hard game ever, The only thing that comes close to the fustration caused by this game is elona. >.<)

This would be nice, But I do think that caves in other biomes need to be rarer and not infinite. Not exactly related but it would give this biome a bit more of the "awesome" feel through the sharper contrast.
I support the mushrooms.

Also when mining stone, in the 1.4 scary update they added some silverfish stone blocks in caves so when mining they will pop out and scare you.

Just take a bite of our fungal friend and you'll forget you ever said that, Maaaaaan.
(I take it that the general consensus is that everyone hates mushrooms and therefor they must die, Removing. :U)
Oh sorry, I just saw the extreme caverns part of the title and clicked on it.
