You know, I had an idea for a Temple Puzzle that only works with a rotor like this.
Basically, you a dispenser on a raised platform over a rotor. There are open spots in the cardinal directions, each one leading to a tube filled with lava and one with any empty tube. You have a button and a switch. Press the button and the rotor turns the dispenser. Pull the switch and the dispenser dispenses. There's something valuable, say, a diamond, inside the dispenser.
Rotate the dispenser to dispense down the correct tube, win the prize. Down the wrong tube, it burns up in the lava.

That sounds Pretty awesome.

You could also use it for compact auto-farming, since one piston could potentially harvest plants in every direction, if someone can figure out how to power both the piston and the rotor.

i have a question- when you will rote a block with redstone on it, the red stone will rote to? if yes so i love it
That I'm Unsure of i think redstone would Rotate sense it adjusts automatically when you place it.
maybe placing it on a Rotor Changes the Way Redstone Acts.
But it Wont pop off the rotating block or Rotor.
