**Important** For those who keep saying "there is a mod for that." Don't! I understand there is a mod for that. There is a mod for a lot of things. I prefer Minecraft Vanilla, and I want to have this in Vanilla Minecraft, I don't want the mod. Thanks!
There are four types of trees in Minecraft: Oak, Birch, Spruce, and Jungle. Oak trees are unique in several ways compared to birch, spruce, and jungle trees. Oak trees have a much smaller space requirement, and while birch, spruce, and jungle trees can only grow through other leaves of their own type, oak trees will grow into any other leaf block.
Spruce trees, also known as pine trees, grow from spruce saplings and have growth patterns and requirements very similar to birch trees, though they look very different. They are only found in the Taiga biome. Spruce wood has the same texture as oak wood, but it is a darker shade of brown, while its leaves are denser, with a darker and more blue-ish tone to them.
Birch trees, the least common type of tree, look fairly similar to oak trees in terms of height, and with leaves of a paler color, however, they stand out with their unique, white bark. They are most commonly found in forest biomes.
Jungle trees are exclusive to the Jungle Biome and have a unique growth system. Jungle tree leaves drop jungle tree saplings, which appear tall and skinny like the jungle tree itself. When planted in grass or dirt they grow into a jungle tree with a 1x1 trunk, unlike the occasional jungle trees with a 2x2 trunk that you find naturally in the jungle biome. For these trees to grow, there must be no blocks adjacent to the sapling up to the height of the tree.
A Palm Tree is not at all like any other tree. A palm tree only spawns near an ocean or on an island It can only spawn if there is sand, and there is dirt behind it. It cannot be a desert, jungle or snow, or mushroom, or swamp biome. They have a 1x1 trunk with a sort light but not too light brown trunk and lines much like a palm tree. The leaves will look like palm tree leaves and occasionally when you break the leaves you get a coconut. A coconut is an item that has only one use.(that I can think of so far) It is to make coconut juice. It can heal anywhere from 1/2 to 2 hunger. The sapling that drops from the Palm tree can be placed anywhere where there is sand and dirt/grass (not a desert and not a snow biome.) You need an iron pick-axe or higher to chop this wood. You can craft the Palm tree wood just like any other wood, but it is a little lighter than regular wood. This is all I have so far, feel free to add to this idea.

Sorry, anyways, this is a damn good idea, more diversity!
this looks good. but it should grow in the desert (oasis anyone?). otherwise, it can also be its own biome maybe? but even though

I thought of the idea of them spawning in a desert, but the only problem with that is, is that they don't grow in desert IRL so why would they let them grow here?
..... meh. coconuts seem cool, but there needs to be a real use besides just adding another item whos only use is food. the palm trees themselves are okay, i just think it would be easier to make jungle trees spawn in ocean biomes and are shaped like palms.

What other uses could there be to a coconut tree? If you don't want it for food, what else could it be used for?
Great idea, op. I think a cool idea would be to have a "rainforest" or "tropics" biome, with palm trees and other tropical plants. Not so dense and messy like jungles, just a relaxed, peaceful biome.

Read the rules. Don't say "It's in a mod", He wants this in vanilla.
He changed his post, what?
But if there's TropiCraft.....

Thanks and I will space it out
