Great job! The language looks real nice, and functions really nicely in terms of the sound-effect-to-word correllation. I also like the suffix system. Coincidentally, I was thinking about and writing something similar. Almost identical, in fact. Lately, however, I have been wondering if I should do more eastern (like Chinese) sounding words. Of course, now that you've already done this, I think I'l go ahead and do it that way.
I am really impressed. Would you publish a dictionary (in real life) regarding this? I'm serious.
Just skimmed through all 17 pages after posting that (which was after reading the first and last page).
This is truly amazing.
This deserves a page (which would obviously lead to many other pages) in the Minecraft wiki. And a huge team/group of people supporting. This is not just a forum thread. This is a masterpiece.
This needs: 1. A new forum thread (as the original poster is gone). 2. An official website. 3. A published dictionary. 4. Published lore books. 5. I don't even know.
I'm speechless as to how impressed I am. What this needs, though, is a method for those guys suggesting to communicate fast, compared to a forum thread which is much slower.
What. How does Mojang not have a team to create this already?
First time in years since I'm so impressed with something.
I love this, When i startd to read this thread a thought popped into my mind, the Mincecraft team could make it easily, they could take a constructed language, maybe Esperanto and add it into the game as the testificate language.
But create a whole new language for them? AWESOME!
The Villagers Wont be worked on Cuz The main worker on Villagers quited so Mojang stoped Altho in the Snapshot of 1.8 Villagers were updated they can trade Diffently, But they should not be many updates on them much

Mojang doesn't cuz Villagers wont be worked on much and They have many other things they have to do and Yeah its impressed Do you know what else is impressed that Aton of people Do stuff like This that i think is really cool
Yeah its really well done but..... How is it better than real life languages?
I don't know, it just seems simpler. None of those weird rules like in English ("I" before "E" except after "C", except for these 100+ exceptions. Also when the hell are you supposed to use a comma?)

Timeless Modding is kinda dead but idk what to put here now
Wait, er... what? I have no idea what you are talking about.
Overall with the part I understood, I can say No support. Why? Minecraft doesn't need a language, let alone villagers! It's completely pointless, makes no sense, and goodBYE.
There is no requirement for players to learn this language.
The point is to add a level of depth to the game that players can choose to explore if they want to.
It makes as much sense as the effort put into understanding it, like any language.
Adding it would take nothing away from the game.

Well, I would say No Support the Ender Dragon thread in your signature. Why? Minecraft doesn't need a boss, let alone two! I's completely pointless, makes no sense, and goodBYE.
I support! Squids should say stuff! If you ask me then I'd say squids should be much awesomer in many more ways. They should spew ink, they should have a better moving animation, there should be giant squids.
Er... I think you may have the wrong thread...
Anyhoo, onto the OP:
I think this is a really great idea (I'm an ameteur linguist myself :D) but I was wondering how it would actually be implemented. Would trades be in the new language? Would you find villagers randomly speaking? Could the player talk to villagers? Don't get me wrong- I think this is a great idea, but how would it work?

I would assume there would be signs on the villages saying Blacksmithery or something; maybe the villagers would talk to each other, villager trading would have some sort of verbal written text.
I had a vision of the world ending. I shall give you a hint. Mutant Shiba Inus.

Well, now that there's enchantments, this game is BEGGING for its own language. Most people take the lazy route and create a cipher for the english alphabet. Notch just used a pre-existing cipher from another game (I hope he doesn't get in trouble). The look of the words in the spell boo does fit the style of the game though. The next step is to crate a spoken sipper for english, like Al Bed in ff x. All they did was shuffle the letters around.
I'm pleased to see that someone else is interested in my hobby. Conlanging isn't usually something that non linguists can enjoy. It's not like a model train or anything, you have to like language as such to really enjoy it.
BTW, I've got a writing system set up for the language, but I haven't managed to sketch it out on paper yet. It's what you might call a moraic writing system. The only other system I know of like this is the japanese Kana. Each symbol represents a single mora. A mora might be thought of as the time needed to utter one sound. The first consonants of a syllable are 0 morass, the vowel takes one mora if it is short (all vowels are short in minecraftian) and each final consonant takes one mora. A minecraftian syllable can be either one or two morass.
Here's a VERY rough outline of the writing system. It's based on braille patterns. A while ago I created a language written only in braille because I was sick of people mistaking braille for a language when it's really a code that represents letters of the roman alphabet.
Anyway here it is.
(IMAGE DELETED FROM QUOTE TO SAVE SPACE)
it goes like this
pi ti ki fi si hi mi ni li ri
pe te ke fe se he me ne le re
pa ta ka fa sa ha ma na la ra
po to ko fo so ho mo no lo ro
I forgot to add the final consonants, but each of the these would get it's own letter:
-p -t -k -f -s -h -m -n -l -r
since words can start with a vowel, there are letters for /i/ /e/ /a/ and /o/ as well
This means that sah uses three letters <sa> and <h>. Sessan uses 4, <se> <s> <sa> <n>
I wish I was good at teaching, I'd love to write an intro on this for non linguists, but after trying to teach my dad to use iTunes, I have reaffirmed my lack of teaching ability.
I made a pixelated font for all of the letters, kinda like the default font in minecraft. The phrase at the bottom reads, "Tokko kekam" (the wolf ate).
Key for picture:
pi ti ki fi si hi mi ni li ri
pe te ke fe se he me ne le re
pa ta ka fa sa ha ma na la ra

Questions:
Does Minecraftian use punctuation? I ask this because some languages, like Latin, don't. If it does, then is the punctuation the same as in English - period (or "full stop" for you wierdos over the ocean), comma, exclamation point, question mark, apostrophes, etc.
How do compound/complex sentences work? Same way as English?
How do you do future tense?
Adverbs?
Also, shouldn't there be a very special word for Steve? After all, he's the only one of his species (discounting multiplayer) and he just popped out of nowhere. I think the villagers would take notice of that and create a special word for him.
I'm not a linguist at all, and I only understood about half of the OP, but I would love to help out with this project. Most likely, this will not be implemented into minecraft for any practical purpose, but it's still really fun to think about. Full support.
Also, we need to make pronouns, along with possessive forms and number. Here are my suggestions, including those already decided:
not possessive:
O - I/me(first person singular)
I - you (second person singular)
Ne - he/she/it/that (third person singular)
Oko - we (first person plural EXCLUSIVE)
Iko - we (first person plural INCLUSIVE)
Ippe - ya'll/you guys (second person plural)
Nem - they/those/them (third person plural)
possessive (same definitions and order as above, except possessive):
Ok
Ik
Nek
Okok
Ikok
Ippek
Nemik (basically just add k on the end, except for Nemik, which needed an extra syllable to distinguish from Nek)
Tomorrow, I will comb this thread and compile all grammatical/linguistic/pronunciation rules and all vocabulary mentioned so far and put it all in one big text file.
Ignore all of the preceding crossed-out regions. I just read through more of the thread and saw that most of this has already been done. Carry on, people.
You do very good work, sir!

Dude you seriously need to make a petition or something to get this in mojang's focus! This would be a great addition to the game! Example petition http://www.thepetitionsite.com/538/666/331/give-testificates-a-voice/#sign
Lol, if we get real technical System.out.println() would print text ot the console =). Java FTW!
