Ok, so the idea is that there could be a new item created similar looking to a furnace that would decompose items to there original state. For example, you have an iron sword. You forgot you already have an iron sword. Instead of just putting it in a chest to maybe never be used, you could plop it into the Decomposer and have it melted down to a stick and 2 ingots! You would be able to do this for any/almost any item that is crafted! Please share your ideas below and whether you like this idea or not. Thanks!
Wouldn't the stick just burn... Plus I could see a lot of loop holes. (Ex: Make a diamond sword, when it's almost broke, "decompose" it then make another one with the diamonds from the sword)
Shouldn't work when it has taken any damage. Also, it doesn't give everything you used to make it back, maybe 2/3 of the materials rounded down, with a random chance of what you'll get back from it every time (it rolls for every material, the top 66% of the rolls are given back to you).

Warning: It is always a possibility this user is talking out of his ass.

I agree with you. That would be an issue. And I like the idea of the randomizing chances.
Actually instead of a "decomposer", you could make tools be uncraftable. A used iron sword would yield, say, "slightly rusted iron", or something, and another machine would be required to polish up the iron and make it useable.

Chickens are spawning in my house! Help! PLEASE!
Your house has been compromised therefore you must blow it to hell.
Can you add a "maybe" to your poll? It sounds useful but not like something I would not use in the near future, like redstone stuff I usually don't use, I've only placed 3 iron doors in my life, I have never eaten a MC cake, it sounds like a great idea (insert applause 2)... but I won't support it because I don't plan on using it.

The nether and end are so cool, but then the biomes are less different than they should be. Support more unique biomes!
