Specific areas makes the most sense. Like the mazes or gauntlets.
Dude, this idea isn't nearly fortified enough to request a mod for.
What are the biomes?
What are the mobs?
What are the special items?
How about i take care of the mobs for you (the ideas), so you can think of the "biomes".
Well, I figure the first step is just to develop a random generator that creates a maze/city instead of natural terrain, even if it only has one biome type and no mobs or new blocks.
Once that basic thing is finished, Mazeworld v.1, then we can worry about adding mobs and different biomes and other new features.
So real-time changes should only happen rarely, and don't happen everywhere. That seems reasonable.
Moving on, what should me have for mobs? We already have the minotaur, a huge monster who smashes through walls. An interesting challenge would be making this fit into the blocky aesthetic of Minecraft.
Most mobs are spawned only through mob spawners, and are the conventional mobs in the maze world, the minotuar being a special mob that is rarely encountered.
Let's get the stats for the minotuar down!
Health: 25 hearts, these guys are big and resistant, they won't go down as easily as a zombie for example.
Size:
1-block taller than the player, minotaurs are bigger than the player, but not massive.
Attack: A 1-block range hit with a axe that deals 5-10 hearts of damage depending on difficulty, you should seriously consider armor. The minotuar wields a a battle axe, possibly its drop.
Abilitie(s):
Crash: The minotuar may break through blocks up to the resistance of stone, any higher and the minotuar will not bother. When it breaks through the wall, it doesn't move for two seconds.
charge: Running form a minotuar would result in it charging at you in a strictly straight line, meaning it would aggressive charge you and close distances between it at you quickly. However when charging, it is easily flankable as it will constantly atack in one direction, leaving it open to attack form the sides. (although try flanking in a narrow corridor...)
Trait(s):
Knock-back immunity: arrow spam won't save you.
Speed:
70% player speed, 150% player speed when charging.
Drop:
Battle axe, it is mostly used (5-50 uses at random) and can 1-hit most mobs, dealing 10 hearts of damage.
Most mobs are spawned only through mob spawners, and are the conventional mobs in the maze world, the minotuar being a special mob that is rarely encountered.

May need some re-balancing
These stats look great. Although the drop could be changed. After all, adding a new weapon could be controversial with many people. (Not including me, of course)

I thought that Mazeworld was going to have it's own unique set of mobs, instead of just having the overworld ones, like the Nether.
It will, for the most part. The mob spawners will also spawn Mazeworld mobs, not just overworld mobs.
What mazeowrld mobs would there be?
The idea around mazeworld is that is like the overworld but artificial. All conventional (slimes included) hostile mobs from the overworld can spawn from spawners, except bigger ones who are bosses, mazeworld has its own bosses.
Mazeworld mobs aren't constrained to spawners however, they spawn randomly like normal.
Although for the heck of it, instead of zombies, sword wielding skeletons with armor (faster than zombies, slower than zombie pigmen, have armor resistance, sometimes drops the heavily damaged armor).

One day, there will be someone who looks at my signature and wonders "who gives a damn?"
It's a creature invented by MC Esher, a kind of centipede/lizard thing with human feet that can crawl or roll up into a ball.
There may be copyright issues though, since I think most of MC Esher's artwork isn't in the public domain yet. But if we could have those, they'd really fit the surreal MC Esher feel I'd like the place to have.

They sound interesting, especially if also given the ability to walk on walls(for the sake of it). However, due to their deisgn it may be tricky to get such mob working without being glitchy due to its extreme complexity (and rolling animation to boot).
Regardless, I thought of stats for them because I felt like it.
Health: 12 hearts
Disposition: Neutral, only attacks if provoked.
Attack(s):
-(not rolling), bite; 2-3.5 hearts of damage depending on difficulty.
-(rolling), crash; 3-5 hearts of damage + 5 block knock back.
Abilitie(s):
-Wall-walk, would walk on walls/ ceilings effortlessly.
-Ball-form, goes into ball mode where it accelerates towards you.
Traits:
-Fire immune, this creature looks rather leathery, i can't see myself setting it on fire
-Explosion resistant, again, can't see myself doing much damage with TNT to this creature, resists 50% of explosion damage.
-Knockback immune, it seems this creature is rather well-set and heavy, wouldn't be knocked back either.
Spoils:
???, i can't think of what this creature could drop... help?
I also have a few ideas off the top of my head:
-floating eyes found in the deepest dungeons or the highest towers
-animated darkness that resides... in the dark.
-statues that come to life when stuck, but actually move like how blocks move in random directions 3 spaces once a minute.
Just random ideas, if any interest i will elaborate.

You can say mazeworld is basically the overworld, but with artificial landscapes instead of natural ones being a massive, planet sized complex of buildings, mazes, castles, gauntlets, dungeons and more!
Dungeons would basically be the mazeworld's version of caves, the surface is nigh endless buildings, intertwining mazes, and sprawling towers reaching to the sky.
We need a better name then mazeworld to get people's attention, don't you think? Maze world sounds like a single massive, repetitive maze. Sounds pretty boring.
Let's think of a official name, and get rid of this placeholder name!

you remember my golden door and guard idea.
it excist a a golden door who only can be opened by redstone and have 1-2 guards who protect it.
the guard attck you if youu do some off this things
.try to open the door
.go to close to the door
.attack a guard
then i had my clockwork idea
it can excist max one clock tower in a big english district. in there it very much gears on the wall, it have some spawners that spawn specific clockwork mobs that also drops gears
the clockwotk monsters are always hostile
these would be like themes... does any one want to help me create this...
Ok, some current district possibilities (some are ones already discussed, some are my own):
Mine District
Classical Greek District
Labyrinth District (Home of Minotaur Mini-Boss)
Dungeon District (Zombies and Skellies)
Redstone district (See my post above talking about gold doors and guardians)
Castle district (Huge, towering structure)
Mini-game district (precreated chunks suitable for such in-game games as extreme fishing and spleefing)
Any other ideas?
I think these are good ideas. I, personally, think that the number of themes (districts) should be kept to a minimum. The entire labyrinth should somehow blend together.
However, since you are asking for ideas, why not an infinity district? It would make use of infinite walkways, stairways (that loop from the top of the map back to the top) and possibly impossible stairs.
However, I think we should steer away from cultural districts which emphasise a particular archetecture, or even districts that only contain one particular gameplay element. The goal should be to blend all of the mechanics together to create a massive, mysterious labyrinth, where once you complete one challenge, you are presented with another.
infinite infernus and mazeworld are different things.
i like both concept that's why i do want both in different
mazeworld: i big labyrinth city
infinite infernus: a big puzzle dungeon with bosses and that
it's different things
I don't see the difference. The only difference is the aesthetics, and even those are similar, at least with the labyrinth theme. The difference being that currently, infinite infernus will look like a dungeon throughout. The thread says he's going to go with this aesthetic, though.
As for the name, it should fit into the Nether/Aether theme. Well, I guess the overworld doesn't, unless we call it the Over or something. Whether/Either/Neither is the only rhymes left, so maybe that's a bad idea.
If it does have a portal, it could be made out of mossy cobblestone. I guess this supports that you need to have already experienced twisted caves before you get there.
Also, since maps will come up soon, maybe the map can flip out or something in maze world, similar to the clock flipping out in the Nether.
Sometimes I also want to know where I am going in maze world too, so we could have lookout sections, like how in corn mazes there always seems to be a spot where you can look out across the whole maze.
There is a mod that makes a large number of walls, and different buildings to go with it. This would be an amazing generator, and if someone gets it to work, it'd be great. Not much would happen, just changes to how caves are generated,
and mountains. There wouldn't be a lot of smoothness to landscapes. It would be flattened out, with more cliffs.
No ores, either, mostly cobble, stone, and maybe wood.

Whether?
No, mazeworld doesn't have to be related to to those dimensions. The aether is called "aether" not solely because it rhymes with nether, it is because aether means the upper space, or heavens in greek mythology. This makes sense with its name sense it is a upper space in the minecraft world arguably, being a bright world of floating islands.
The nether is called the nether because the definition of nether is "the lower position", and the nether is arguably the underworld of minecraft.
Whether means... expressing a doubt between alternatives. Which kinda of is related to this dimension, but it doesn't really emphasize the place like the other two names do and sounds a bit goofy (like putting the word nether as if its a prefix in front of every mob's name and placing in in the nether re-skinned, i hate that.)
What about The Complex? (or just Complex?)
This dimension is an assortment of related things, namely artificial buildings, the layout is very complex, and may give people complexes...
