You are right, it was originally going to try to go into vanilla minecraft, but I picked up the project
right around the time people realized that this would never go into it...
So consider this the mod suggestion thread instead...
I tried Installing Necrocraft and deleting META-INF and I also tried not Deleting META-INF and both times I couldn't make a sacrificial Dagger :sad.gif: Any Help Plz?

Server, or Client?
Client requires ModLoader!
and if Multiplayer, the server doesn't have Necrocraft!
first of all great mod!
i love the idea of necromancy in minecraft!
but i hava an issue
whenever other people try to enter my server they can't or chey can for a seccond and minecraft crashes.
i can still login fine but i have a lot more crashes then before.
it works fine without the mod and the only other mod installed is runecraft.
i tried it with only this mod on and it stil doesn't work
i now have somebody who can login but he has mayor lag

Do you have Necrocraft installed?
Also, having summons lags the server, as the AI is CPU-intense, nothing I can do about it...
Curse this stupid forum! I want the "go to unread post" button...
how about a evian? a undead eagle minion that has some of its skin and feathers ripped off and like... thinking... emits small lights and debuffs enemies and shoots fireballs making them go on fire, thinking off the top of my head :biggrin.gif:(:
but it would most likely cost a lot of blocks, to make a ting you cannot place because you would have to crzft two of them to make the beast.
This is a very nice suggestion, but I feel that it is a tad too complicated. I think there should just be a zombie and skeleton you can summon. But that's just me.

Eagles make no sense, in this situation. The well known animals-of-choice for necromancer's companions are generally "carrion animals," or "carrion consuming animals," often known to the layman as "scavengers." Birds like vultures would be a perfect choice for this, given the awareness of what they do and how they live among such a wide range of cultures around the world. I, however, would think more radically than the "norm," but still stick to what actually fits well. Eagles do not fit well, undead, or not. While they have been known to be carrion-eaters, they generally are used to give more of a feel of majestic stoicism. From a writer's standpoint, you'd be much better off going with another carrion animal, such as a hyena,a Tasmanian Devil (the animal, not the cartoon character. For those who don't know much about them, they look somewhat like a bear that has been scaled down to the size of a small dog), a coyote, or a Komodo dragon. There are others, as well, some that would not be considered carrion animals, such as the vampire bat or the raven, but I personally think a hyena or a vulture would be a more proper addition, with regards to an appropriate animal companion. Whether he would choose to give them undead textures or not would be entirely up to him, but those would definitely be fitting candidates.
He could actually even just use the wolf model as a basis for the creatures, then sort of rescale it to match a hyena, and apply a more fitting texture, in theory, so that wouldn't even be that difficult.
However, if we're talking more undead creatures, I think more of a list would be appropriate, as I do know quite a few potential candidates:
Wights (basically an upgraded Litch, usually, or very very similar to a Litch)
Lycanthropes (werewolves, hurpdurp) - yes, they have often been considered undead. Read Bram Stoker's Dracula, they were referenced briefly as being a part of the "undead creatures of the night." It was also noted in folklore that Dracula was able to turn himself into a wolf, as well as a bat.
Vampires - also, undead. More people are aware of vampirism as being a form of undead than not, but it is :tongue.gif:
Draugr - a type of undead from Norse mythology. They have been referenced with a very broad range in abilities and traits, though most commonly associated with being incredibly massive, mostly referring to body-fat amounts, though scale is often also a factor, though they are often said to have similar abilities to those commonly afforded to litches and wights, such as magical abilities like weather control. They are also fairly infamous for causing the deaths of wild animals and livestock, either by driving them mad or by riding them to death.
Jiang Shi- basically a chinese vampire that moves almost exclusively by jumping. Probably not the best candidate for a minecraft mob, but it would be interesting if it worked :tongue.gif:
Ghouls- among the more commonly known undead types- usually described as being more sophisticated undead creatures, retaining considerably more intelligence and decision-making ability than zombies are usually credited as having.
Mummies- if you don't know what this is, look it up.
Revenant- basically just another word for a zombie, but could be used as a name for something more creative? idunno, but it's there.
Pontianak- an Indonesian mythological creature that is basically a vampire, but they are exclusively women who died in childbirth. They often take the form of a beautiful young lady, and may announce their presence by imitating a baby's cry.
Soucouyant- yet another version of the vampire story, but also unique from the others- the soucouyant is said to have the ability to take on the appearance of their victims, as well they travel by night in the form of a fireball (quite a unique little tidbit there), and take on the appearance of either an old lady or one of their victims by day. Can be "caught" by spreading rice around town, as they are supposedly compelled to pick it all up, grain by grain, and thus can be "trapped" with the impossibly arduous task of picking up a LOT of rice, and being caught at dawn, in the act. They have also been credited with keeping their "day skin" in a mortar (as in a mortar and pestle), in their house.
Demons are also often associated with the undead, and so a demonology section may also be something to think about with this.
Lastly: to those who have claimed that minecraft shouldn't have magic, and that zombies and undead have been used in sci-fi as well as fantasy, as an explanation for the zombies in minecraft- while it may be true that undead do not necessarily entail the supernatural, please explain to me how making a portal to another realm through use of an obsidian gateway, being activated by a spark from flint and steel, which is occupied by some of the STRANGEST creatures I've ever seen or heard of in all my years of mythological studies, is not somehow closer to "magic" than this?
All of this is what should be put into a mod. Not everyone wants to become a demon summoning baby eating necromancer who has an army of undead with him at all times! LOL Plus all of this is far too complex D:
um...
This is a mod...

Just about to be SMP, as a matter of fact!

A lot of people want to play minecraft with an undead army, that's really the biggest reason...
ALSO:
the server has a "Master Mode" option in the property file!
if it is true, summons will attack other summons (after checking for hostile mobs, but before animals) that do not share the same owner!

On the main post ON THE MOD TOPIC, there is a sentence that says "here is the bloody file", with "here" being a link...
I'm not sure if you need an account to download it, but I don't think so...
hopefully this works!

For the conflicting Classes, I was just guessing which was which, all I know is that one of them is the SMP connector...
And is hamachi a server provider or a new server, like bukkit?
