So far my map might not be able to be released today, I thought i would be able to finish it today but a party that i thought was on monday was actually today so i might not be able to finish, i probably will still release it on my thread or might not idk.
Theme: Afterlife Length: 3 Monument pieces Difficulty: Hard Estimated playtime: 2 hours Style: Linear Description: Fight your way through the depth of hell. Just remember, hunger works differently in this sector.
So this map is the result of an experiment I've been working on for future maps. It features beta-like health regeneration whereby health can only be restored by eating food. In addition, some of the food you consume may also give special effects based on the food eaten. I've also taken away your ability to sprint at the beginning of the map, which you can regain later on as a special effect from eating. For the time being, I'll keep the exact effects that the food gives a secret and let you figure it out on your own.
So, how did the actual mapping go?
I enjoyed it for the most part. I really like the starting area (and spent wayyy too long on it). I think that the start is something a lot of CTM veterans might enjoy due to the change in hunger mechanic and lack of sprinting.
The second area really killed the majority of the time on this map, at the time I thought a checker board pattern would be a GREAT idea for a dungeon. No. It wasn't. If you ever tried building a huge checker board room, you'll know how painful it is to line everything up perfectly, that's something no one should ever go through. I cut the dungeon a little shorter than usual due to this. That killed a ton of time, which left me with about half a day to create the last dungeon.
The last dungeon is fairly meh in my own opinion, I personally think that it is a tiny bit too difficult the way it is at the moment and I will be making changes later on to balance it better.
TL;DR The starting area is awesome, the last areas not so much.
So apparently they changed the way player skulls work in 1.7.10, So my maps gonna have to be played in 1.7.2, Which sucks because I like my maps to be on par with the current update.

Fun Fact: I cannot build as fast as Sketch.
I don't think I'll be done with my other map either by the end of the day judging by the fact that I only have one of four wools and zero spawners placed.
Looks like you'll have two mini-maps to look forward to from me soon. The smaller one from today will probably be released in a week or two and the bigger weather one in one and a half to two months.
Wait, add a week to each because I have to play all these awesome maps first!
It's a shame I once again am not putting in an entry but at least I get to play all of yours. I also have two WIP mini-maps to make now. I'm looking forward to playing all of yours though!

Edit: This post seems to be turning into code. I've fix it up, tell me if you spot anything weird.
I liak it. The hunger mechanic is new, maybe more explanation in game?
Blue wool is broken.
Otherwise, nice map/aesthetics( i skipped to the last dungeon because i thought it was just hidden loot at the bottom of the ravine :c
Last area/two areas weren't very fun. Main/first area was. Damn you and your traps.
Disclaimer: Alright, so here's the thing: I am done with my map. It's playable and stuff. But unfortunately I have not test it yet since I'm now in a rush to attend an event and making me not be able to work on this until midnight in my timezone. So my apologies if some of the areas here is unbalanced. I'll be sure to beta test it myself tomorrow and if I'm allowed, post an updated version. But in the meantime, you guys are welcome to critisize my map and post about bugs here. And also keep in mind this is my first ever map I've ever completed, so expect some noobieness mistakes Thank you ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I may have a thing for using weather conditions as names... *** BlizzardTheme: "Abandonment"Style: Semi-LinearLength: 3 monument itemsRequired Minecraft version: 1.7.4[Download] Here I am with another cool map for this jam. Even though the original theme doesn't have anything to do with snow/ice, I decided to make it a bit harder for myself and went with a cold snowy style for the environment. Yeah, I got a little bit carried away with the first two areas, which is why the third one is pretty short and overall kinda meh. Yet, I'm still happy with the result. Also, I definitely could have done a better job with these screenshots, but oh well. :\ Screenshots:
Alright I'm pretty sure I've finished. So balancing was an issue, but I feel like I did the best I could in that aspect. You spawn in the intersection in creative, might wanna fix that
The timer can be seen on the sidebar at the right. It constantly ticks down, and you lose when it reaches zero. To extend the time, feed the hopper in the middle certain items. The recipes are written on the wall. Good luck!

May I just say. Wow. I seriously look forward to playing this. Looks absolutely fantastic!
What version? Cause 1.7.9 doesn't work.
