Because I want to play it on 1.6.4, I meant an unofficial version just so u know because I don't think Azanor will make a 1.6.4 version.
The modding community seems to have moved on to 1.7 for the most part. The only thing you would get is the example ring. I highly doubt anyone would backport this just for that silly ring. It's just not worth it.

The Baubles mod seems to have lost an important feature after 1.0.0.10. In later versions, if you right-click on a crafting table, you can no longer exit the crafting table using the Baubles key. The regular 'I' inventory key has always been able to exit GUI's by pressing the 'I' key again. And the Baubles key used to work this way, but not any more.
This is a big deal since now you can't just re-map the baubles key to 'I' and play normally because you have to use the escape key to exit the crafting table GUI every single time.
Am I missing some way to fix this?

Apparently that broke searching for items in the creative menu. It would close every time you pressed B. You really don't need to open the baubles menu that often anyway. You can just leave the key binding to how it is and open it when you want to adjust your baubles. That's what I've been doing. Sure, it's a little inconvenient, but it's not that bad.

Whenever I try to launch my MC, it deletes the Baubles .jar from my mods folder for some reason.
Edit 1: It just moves it to the .minecraft/mods/1.7.2 folder. Is that supposed to happen?

Thank you for addressing my issue. I understand your explanation of the creative mode searching & closing problem. It would seem like it would have been better to specifically code the Baubles key not to close the GUI when in creative mode. Especially since creative mode isn't really an 'inventory' so it makes perfect sense. Best of both worlds.
The problem I'm facing is the backpacks. The only non-beta backpack mod I could locate for 1.7.2 requires that the Baubles inventory be used in order to access any backpacks not on the hotbar. Maybe people are using a 1.7.2 inventory/backpack mod I don't know about? I'm open to suggestions.

What I have been doing and it works for the most part is bind the baubles key to E and don't change the normal inventory keybind (so they are both E). This works with closing chests / bags while being able to open up the baubles menu without using a separate key. Using Brads backpacks, and the better chests mod that adds adjustable bags both seem to work without issue. This also works with things like the Thaumicon and making use of the E key to go back in pages and such.
The only issue I have found with this method is if you go into creative mode, you need to unbind the baubles menu as it wont bring up the creative menu. But seeing as I only play creative to test things (rarely at that) it is a very minor inconvenience to rebind it during creative play sessions.
Hey. I'm having a giant bug with this mod in which if I have anything equipped in my Baubles inventory, on death, I only drop my equipped baubles inventory items, and anything equipped on my character or in my inventory/hotbar is lost forever. Tested in SP and MP. Any idea what this could be caused by?

Update Baubles, Thaumcraft comes with an old version.
hey, does anyone know where i put the baubles api in eclipse for my mod?
Either use the API and add it to the mod sources (the same place where your mod is at; obviously abiding the package structure), or add the decompiled version of Baubles as a library (Project>Properties>Java Build Path>Add External Jars...)
I've noticed a bug with Baubles where the Baubles inventory will disappear.
I run a private server for my friends and we run Baubles on it. If I update a mod on the server sometimes the players don't update right away and they try to join and are subsequently kicked. You don't see a join message, but you do see a kicked message. When this happens their Baubles inventory disappears when they do finally update. I'm using the most recent version of Baubles.

If you have ask "Is using X cheating?", the answer is most likely yes. Being a sandbox game doesn't change the fact you are cheating in it, regardless of what people say. However, the question you should be asking is "Does it matter?" The answer to that question is no.

Our server has the same issue. A quick look at github shows that it may be this issue, which looks like Vazkii has a temp fix until Azanor returns GitHub / MC Forum post.
I... I think you're posting in the wrong thread, bub. This is Baubles, an API that adds ring slots and whatnot... not... whatever it is you're talking about.

you're correct. this was meant to be posted in mystical trinkets and i was on the wrong tab however for whatever reason the forum isn't letting me edit my post to remove the contents of the comic

It was never released for 1.6.4 because baubles was developed along with Thaumcraft for 1.7. You won't find a 1.6 version.

Baubles was created during the development of Thaumcraft for 1.7.2, so no, there was never a 1.6.4 version.
