InvTweaks is for version 1.7.2, not 1.7.9. It also requires Forge to be installed.
I have a problem with this mod in Attack of the B-Team. In single player, I have 2
different picks of the same id. I want one of them to be in my "default" category and
the other in my "Gathering" category. How do I put it that way? Because I placed the same
id in both categories but it tweaks one of the pickaxes but not the other one... Please
help!

Items can only be listed in the tree file by id and meta/damage, if those values are the same they will be counted as identical.
I got crash when I loaded world (any world without mod).
HOW TO FIX IT?
(I 'm playing 1.6.4. , and Forge is Forge9.11.1.965 .)

Tested 1.57 on 1.7.10 for a bit, it appears to work fine so I updated the topic title.
(At least, sorting, auto-refill, and item movement shortcuts basically worked for me.)
It looks like 1.7.10 has some support for mod config screens, I'm going to look into that before releasing 1.58. Because that's a new thing, I may end up making a separate 1.7.2 version of 1.58 just to get the general fixes in.
Running 1.7.2 and trying various builds of inventory tweaks from 157-116 up to 158-137 i'm still seeing a problem with at least two materials unwilling to auto refill. Primarily this happens with Dirt and Quartz Block, is there any tweak that can be made to this mod to fix it because i have some very large builds that require these materials and having to manually refill or use the R shortcut for only those is quite irritating.
I got crash when I loaded world (any world without mod).

(item has no damage value) both didn't work. Used NEI data dump to learn item ID.
Also, when a whole row is assigned to, for example, edibleFood ( 9 edibleFood), 3 food items are correctly placed into inv. slots and 4th food item is placed randomly across inventory.

I'm having the same problem
So I'm having this same issue. Even though the other day i was playing with no issue what so ever. and then now when I try to load up, it doesn't work and has this crash.
EDIT: Okay, so, I just tried this again and it works. All I did was delete the InvTweaks.cfg and the other two files that came with it. now it works perfectly fine.

First off, thanks for the great mod! It's awesome!
I was just wondering if I can show this mod in a YouTube video I am making? Of course, I will credit you and link back to this page ^.^
Let me know
Map the numblock to the crafting grid for quick insert.
help please?

I'm having the same problem
Check out that awesome 100+ mods modpack!
Example:
D7 4186 or D7 somemod:someItem
(item has no damage value) both didn't work. Used NEI data dump to learn item ID.
Also, when a whole row is assigned to, for example, edibleFood ( 9 edibleFood), 3 food items are correctly placed into inv. slots and 4th food item is placed randomly across inventory.
Using Minecraft 1.7.2, latest Minecraft Forge, Inventory Tweaks 1.5.7-116.
Tested in NEI 1.7.2-1.0.1 (creative mode)
Any advice? Thnx!
