Hmm, just checking, but list all the metals in your mod which are found in real life. I just want to make sure no fake or fantasy metals are generating in my world(for a more realistic experience. Ender and Nether are also out as both dimensions should remain equally barren, as the Nether is hell( and why would hell look so good?) and the End is barely an island floating above the Void, which makes it a bit too risky to mine in unless the player is extremely skilled at Skyblock mining.
Just download the normal, precious, and utility modules, and not the nether, ender, or fantasy ones.

Timeless Modding is kinda dead but idk what to put here now
Errrr... I have a version of Metallurgy compiled from the github of the mod which APPEARS to be more stable than the official release... would anybody want me to/not to throw up the link?
If it was the 3.3.3 build that was accidentally removed from curse then YES PLEASE! I'm willing to try it out and work my way around the ID conflicts to get rid of that annoying name bug!

Yeah, everything has "name" in its name which is really annoying.
Version 3.3.3 was removed because it broke world generated with 3.3.2, hence keep using 3.3.2 as there is a syncing bug discovered recently with 3.3.3 and the current source code on github.
Where can I change the ID's for Metallurgy? I got a message saying id conflicts had been listed in a text file, and this was what it said;
#Blocks
920: Base920 from Metallurgy3Base - M3HETNT from Metallurgy3Base
921: Ender921 from Metallurgy3Base - M3LETNT from Metallurgy3Base
922: Fantasy922 from Metallurgy3Base - MinersLaser from Metallurgy3Machines
924: Fantasy924 from Metallurgy3Base - null from Metallurgy3Machines
4093: molten.astral.silver from ExtraTiC - TEOreGen from TEOreGen
Suggested Ranges: 422-899 (478 IDs), 1490-1919 (430 IDs), 2501-2900 (400 IDs)
Now since I have the IQ of a cornflake where mods and ID fixing is concerned, I would greatly appreciate any help
i too was once even more clueless than I am now - in your game folder (where the idconflicts.txt file appears) there is a <config> folder with .cfg (they are just text) files for your mods with lists of blocks/items and id numbers. you need to change one or other of the conflicting id numbers.
if you have nei there is an <options button> (bottom LHS) click that and <tools> and <data dumps> and you can generate files of all block and item ids which are mighty useful.
there are many guides to doing this around the forum. hope this helps you
So I'm sorry if I'm just being stupid and looking in the wrong place but where is the core for the 1.6.4 version? It says I need Metallurgy Core version 4.0.0
So I'm sorry if I'm just being stupid and looking in the wrong place but where is the core for the 1.6.4 version? It says I need Metallurgy Core version 4.0.0
Metallurgy 4 is only for 1.7.2, there is no 1.6.4 version.
Metallurgy 3 is for 1.6.4

Oh wow.. I actually knew that but for some reason it didn't dawn on me to check that I had the right download until I read your post XD so thank you I have the right download now
.....ok I think I'm being stupid again... where can i find Keithyutils 1.2? and how do i get the metal addons? it's probably in plain sight but it's such a long post so i lose focus lol
For some reason when I'm using the 1.6.4 version w/ the recommended KeithyUtils, I get a weird bug that displays the name of an ore or some other block w/ the actual block name, a space, and then "name". I've tested this w/ Metallurgy being the only install. Is there a fix for this?
I'm here to officialize my collection of mods and my server, Saccheggio a Minecraftia modpack and server ( Looting in Minecraftia ) are live on this topic.
Thank you so much guys for your awesome mods ( keithyutils too ), thank you for the time and will you put it in, keep up the good work with M4 and apologies for making you read our information and the maccaroni english ( I'm italian ).
If you don't like us to include your mods just message me and I will comply as soon as I read the message.

The required KeithyUtils for 3.3.2 is in the change log,
here it is for ease of access

It's a known issue, there is a fix bundled with 3.3.3, but that version is a bit broken and not compatible with 3.3.2.
I will try to fix the compatibility issue when I have the time

It's ok to include Team Metallurgy mods in your pack
So I'm wondering what levels I find the different ores on? I find a LOT of zinc in the one level of my mine, but nothing else from metallurgy. I want to be able to find all the ores, and the wiki doesn't tell me things like what level manganese is on. I'd be surprised if zinc was the only one that had certain layers specified for generation.
Is there somewhere that gives more info than the wiki?
Thanks!
Ok, I have Metallurgy for 1.7.2(which I believe is #4). However, I have not found Black Steel or any of the other alloys in the config file. Why?
They are currently working on an issue with a few of the ores not spawning properly and that should be fixed in the next update. However, Black Steel, and several other metals are alloys. They cannot be found naturally, they have to be created by mixing 2 different ores together once you crush them into powder.

I hope this new update comes soon, I really want to have a chance to properly disable the nether, ender and fantasy ores/alloys. I cannot disable any of the ores in the config file. I set them to false, and I can still find them in NEI. Is that intentional?

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
i realise you've stopped development, but on my first run it told me there were id conflicts i'm currently changing all the configs to be of a less 'untidy' order here's the id conflicts list #Blocks 920: Base920 from Metallurgy3Base - M3HETNT from Metallurgy3Base 921: Ender921 from Metallurgy3Base - M3LETNT from Metallurgy3Base 922: Fantasy922 from Metallurgy3Base - MinersLaser from Metallurgy3Machines 924: Fantasy924 from Metallurgy3Base - null from Metallurgy3Machines basically you have ids conflicting inside your own mod

Ores Generate between 0 - 128 by default, you can adjust that in your configs.
Yeah, but why can't I disable them in the config? I even find the disabled ones in NEI. Why?

Yes, it's intentional in M4, as it breaks your world if we remove them, so we decided to disabling them from generating only.
and please use the M4 post for questions about M4, this one is only for M3.
Thanks you shadow claimer for this awesome mod and could you tell me when the 1.7 version is coming out? I have a mod pack i use for my self and i really want metallurgy in it but its on 1.7.
