Particle effects crashing the game...
I seem to be saying this a lot lately, but I have no idea how that would happen. I don't do anything with particles.
If you post your mod list I can try to find the issue.
Alright here is my mod list:
Enhanced biomes
Tools Enchant by iron
attack enchant by iron
defense enchant by iron
Optifine
Also when I meant by particle effects crashing the game, whenver I break grass, Minecraft closes, no crash report though...
Working on tides has left me with little time to do more important things for the mod. I have the logic done, but de-lagging the entire process is proving difficult. As such, tide development will get a bit of a break. Hopefully that means I can get all the other stuff done.
The water freezes in the cold taiga farms (of the cold taiga villages). Maybe they should get torches (or something warm) to keep the water unfrozen? Edit: Btw, some of the villages spawn in some awkward places... (eg: caves, ice sheets)
I'm not sure I can edit existing village pieces. You can just disable village gen in cold biomes if you want.
The spawning in awkward places isn't my fault, it's Mojang's. As I said above though, you can turn off the generation in biomes with massive height variation.

Thx, maybe back then it didn't work (crash before main menu) for me because I used previous version of HC mod.
this mod works great in my 1.7.2 ~110 mod pack I live stream 12 hours every day at twitch.tv/craft_kid
pams harvest mod works for me in the biomes gen then again I changed ALMOST all configs and made everything hardcore :3this mod is far more stable in 1.7 then biomes o plenty and I see this mod as a better biome gen mod with far more potential.

Yes, you can use the mod in your modpack, as long as I'm acknowledged as the creator of the mod and you send me a link once you're done (because I like to use modpacks too).
I'm having trouble getting this mod to spawn Enhanced Biome's added stuff. I can see you've created a list of every biome in your config file and everything is set to true, but nothing actually spawns. Do I need to manually add the ids somewhere? I'm not sure what to do

Yes I have but it doesn't spawn an EB world with your volcanoes and things like that. I guess I wasn't really sure your mod was working at all when I had EB on.EDIT: I am doing some testing and so far an EB world looks the same whether or not ATG is active. When I use the ATG world type then the difference in how things spawn is HUGE. It's so much different. I'm still testing but I'm going to say that these two mods aren't working together After a simple test (changing the multiplier for height generation to 0.0 so that it would only spawn bedrock) it only works if your ATG world is activated. It doesn't work if it's EB world.
EDIT: I have posted this problem in the completely wrong thread I realize. Just disregard this post. (I actually didn't even realize this until I posted in this thread again unwittingly realizing I mistakenly posted in it already earlier about a problem unrelated!)
You must know this, but the new wood types in this mod don't burn. I've tried pine, fir, and aspen. Their leaves don't burn either. Most raw wood and leaves won't even support a fire. Planks will support fire, but they don't ever burn away.
My good news is mobs from other mods certainly can spawn in Enhanced Biomes. I use a reptile mod by crackedEgg and it spawns great in your new biomes.

I wanted to stop by and say that this is one of the best mods I've ever seen since I started playing Minecraft in 2010. I am absolutely in LOVE with everything you're doing and the direction you're taking this mod. Love the realistic Biomes and I am totally enamoured by your new stone blocks you've put in the game. It's something I had actually suggested way back in early Alpha to Notch and of course nothing has come of it (they decided to put a dragon in the game and a bunch of other non-sense instead)
I want to say keep up the good work.
Also I wanted to encourage you to continue considering allowing blocks from other mods spawn in your new stone. I hope that you'll eventually find a way to make that possible. I am currently testing Metallurgy 4 (which is another incredible mod) and it's sad that they're ores don't spawn in all your incredible new stone.

I also used the Metallurgy mod often before I created Enhanced Biomes, and getting complete ore gen compatibility is something that I'd really like to get done. I just have no idea how to go about it, what with all the different ores in mods out there and all the different textures, not to mention detecting when they are trying to generate so that I can put them in the new stones.
Eventually I'll probably have a break-through, but it just hasn't happened yet.
Yes, unless I just disable all the tide stuff and release an update with seasons, which are mostly done.
EDIT: Which I've now done. Version 2.1 has been released.

The mod I see an immediate issue with is Optifine (not with my mod, just in general). It tends to break stuff.
EDIT: It's definitely not me. Glass breaks fine.
Like I said, it's most likely Optifine.

I'll look into it, but I would have assumed that it would be working right already. The mod must not generate by biome type.
Every 4 days (configurable) the season will change. Biomes change temperature, leaves get new colorizer files, etc.
I'm not sure I can edit existing village pieces. You can just disable village gen in cold biomes if you want.

Pam's Harvestcraft is so far only available for 1.6.4 Enhanced Biomes 2.1 is for 1.7.2Edit: Harvestcraft for 1.7.2 is now available.

I beleive you are mistaken there is an 1.7.2 version of Pam's Harvestcraft
Go into config\Enhanced Biomes and change the option in the Biomes.cfg file.

As a general note to everyone, Forge mods are meant to be mostly compatible with each other. That's the point of Forge.
