- made minion block changes respect Forge's BlockEvent.BreakEvent
- this should allow permission managers to keep minions from changing locked areas
Somehow I've ended up with two Master staves and now when I try to use minions all I get is the message The Darkness Listens.
Help?
EDIT: Okay, maybe it was that I didn't have enough levels. I was down to zero but hadn't realized that would be an issue. Went and mined some redstone. Back up to 16 and everything was cool.
would you be able to make it so they will build a hiouse aswell?
It could be like the dig a hole thing, your only option is a box and whatever the last thing you had them gather was (probably cobblestone or logs), and you can pick the dimensions so long as they're currently holding enough materials for it.

Oh and they could draw from their chest too so you could have them make it even bigger AND have a few more options for building materials.
(I have no idea how difficult this would or wouldn't be to code, it just sounded cool to me, I have zero expectation it will actually happen)

The config you didn't have to put into the config folder (the one that generated normally) is the one with the item ID for the master staff. Go change it.
Tried searching this topic for "distance" and didn't see this answered so I'll give it a try ...
Does anyone know how far away the chest can be for the Minions to deposit items? For instance, can I have them depositing in a base but having them dig a long distance away?

And I just want to say, I've been using this mod with Attack of the B-Team and it's absolutely amazing. Mining out huge areas just to see what is there has always been one of my favorite parts of the game. Now I can have the Minions doing it AND actually accomplish something around my house! Like real-world house, not Minecraft. So basically this is better living through Minions!
Yes, my minions are not depositing anything in the chest I'm telling them too. They dig but won't put things into chests for some odd reason on the 1.7.2 version. The 1.6.4 version worked flawlessly in this regard. I even edited the config to make the distance farther and they just ignore it.
How do I access the config files, i found AS_Minions, and AS_Minions_advanced in the config folder but I can edit them but it doesnt work.
SE i cant get the master staff because its Item ID confilcts with another from this modpack I think.
(i try to give myself item id 2527 and i get a drum.)
I tried changeing the ID in the config "2527" but when i run minecraft it gets reset back to "2527"
even if i make file read only
I also cannot press "M" for the menu of the mod.
I tried looking in the config files which are in minecraft/config/ (i put both AS_Minions, and AS_Minions_advanced in there)

I know this seems really simple (like asking if it's plugged in) and I apologize for that, but you are saving the changes you made to the config before reopening minecraft right? And the keybinding is most likely conflicting with another mod's default key binding, hit escape, click options, click controls, scroll until you find the minions key, the M is probably red meaning it shares that key with another mod making neither of them likely to work well, change it or the other one (it should be easily identified by the red M) and you'll be good to go. Hope at least the keybinding part is helpful, good luck.
new update so i found the mod with teh same item ID and tried changing the config for that mod, I changed the item from 2527 to 3789 i think
I reinstalled this mod (extracted mod and config folder to the directory)left the staff with the default 2527.
now when I type in give rbfloat05 2527 it says the ID doesnt exit. its like the item isnt even in my game.
When I changed the ID of the other mods item to a new one I tried give rbfloat 3789 and it gives me it correctly.
its as if the staff is missing from my game even though there are no other conflicts with the ID 2527 anymore I think.
I can get the menu of the minion mod up , but all it says is the darkness listens and then never mind.
Any help much appreciated., not enough items cant find the staff either btw.
If NEI can't find it it sounds like it's still an ID conflict, but this is only speaking from my very limited experience. Would that sort of thing be listed in the log? It's not giving you a different item when you do the evil deeds?
okay guys I managed to fix the issue and the mod is working great.turned out I had to edit about 3 config files for different mods until it worked, and 1 of them mysteriously missing a config file.

occasionly I think my minions are "dissapearing" but they are still there, I just cant see themi
(i can still see them break blocks etc and do stuff but cant see their models.)
ts happened about 3 times, idk what causes it its not that often though.
desummoning them and resummoning them fixes it, but it uses up all my hunger
i could leave them invisible but its hard to keep track of them or tell them to give me stuff etc

I just checked and they deposit into chests just fine for me, and always have.

I went to config file and changed it to 4787
in the game i type in /give rbfloat05 4787 and I get nothing
