I hope the server will have ComputerCraft! It gives people a job in computing.
While i love mods, personally I find they're often a bad idea as many people, especially the younger players, don't know how to install them. i hope they can someday make it so mods can be used server side (such as bukkit plugins) without requiring client side installs.

Hi there, just reposting my moderator application with a few changes and corrections.

I have played on two other role-play servers (Asmalur - Land of the Dragon, Land of Morundia), and have played other role-play based games such as D&D, text based adventures and a bit of Warhammer 40'000 (the board game, it doesn't really count as a role-play game but its got a good lore which is fun to read. I like reading lore.) Server staff experience: Haven't really had a lot of experience, but I am willing to learn and can memorise commands pretty quickly. I have run a couple of private servers with school mates that I've been an admin on, but not sure if that counts because they don't really require a lot of upkeep, mainly just banning and kicking griefers. Define meta gaming: Ok, meta gaming is more or less taking things you learn out of character (OOC), and then using that to achieve things in character (IC). An example on your server might be if a bounty hunter asks someone where a target lives OOC and then goes IC and kills them when they are at home. Define Power Gaming: Power gaming is a little harder to explain. A good way to explain is an example. Player A is strolling along and Player B wants to kill him. Player B then uses "*" in chat to show he is preforming an action.
Player B: *stabs Player A with a knife and kills him*
This is power gaming. Player B is giving Player A no chance to react and defend himself in an role play or pvp fight. The correct way to do this would be:
Player B: *pulls a knife from his belt*
Player A: *hears the scraping of the knife and turns around* Oh!
Player B: Take this! *stabs at Player A*
Player A: Gah! *dodges out of the way, but is scraped on the side as the blade goes past*
This example involves no power gaming as Player B has not instantly killed Player A without giving him time to react. Are you a white listed on the server?: Yes I am whitelisted.

I see...but well it's kinda a consequence for having a real-life setting.
Well, yeah, but I think that people will (or at least should) be able to imagine these things, especially seeing as how vital imagination is to roleplay.
Not saying mods wouldnt be great, i love mods, its just they'd be a hindrance, those that dont know how to install mods or those that dont like mods or just dont like a specific mod wouldnt play. Not only that, updating the block ID list and making sure they match both client side and server side can be a nightmare for server staff, although thats only if using multiple mods at once, not so bad with only 1 or 2.
Weeblerst, can I suggest adding a bit more depth to your application? Perhaps make something up about Earl's childhood, or maybe how much he loved his wife.

Note : Though I played a lot of Rp server in minecraft, it's my first attempt in a english one (wich is not my native language, as you must have noticed ^^). So, it's quite of a challenge for me, but it could be interesting, and I think I could even use this particularity in my character's background. Anyway if the server ever needs content mods I suggest Spout.
It's not my place to judge, but most of the applications that have been added recently are just plain pathetic. If you read any of the applications on previous pages, you would see that the bios that are 1-3 sentences long DON'T get approved. If you're going to apply, at least put effort into it. I don't want to see another "Jim got out of school and decided to be a business man. He came to Sherlock to get a job and become rich." I'm not an admin, but I wouldn't accept that if I were. It's just lazy.

What about mine ? Last page too. Because of my efforts to translate the story I have in mind, I don't really realize if it sounds plausible..
And I probably also made a lot of mistakes, so if you see huge ones, do not hesitate to tell me. ^^
I like it, only about 2 mistakes, as far as grammar, but I don't see them being a problem. Again, I'm not server staff, this is just opinion.

James does not like killing, but what choice does he have? To kill or to die on the street. As years passed, he learns to like his job. One day, James failed to assasinate one of his target. This target then killed the gang leader after. James ran away before the gang could kill him. Today, he is roaming the streets, with enemies and no friends. What will he do next?

His dad owns money to a gang. He couldn't pay it so the gang killed the mother and father, took all valuable objects in the house and then burned it. James was at school when that happened. He came home, found out his parents are dead, ran away and was never seen by his relatives. He does not have friends because he failed to kill the target, everyone on his gang hated his guts and tried to kill him, he has plenty of enemies to go around and no friends. He had no experience, but the leader gave him a chance, he managed to kill his first target, and the more he kill, the more he gets better, and the gang leader starts giving him more important targets to kill until he failed. By the way, he is roaming the streets today because the gang knows where he lives and burned his house down, just like what happened to his parents.

Please dont judge my age by my grammar, Not everyone was born in a country that speaks English as their first language.
Only thing is, Why did he get kicked out of his house, Why exactly doesn't he have friends anymore, and maybe a little more about him becoming a bounty hunter, such as a few experiences, or how he started off. This is just my opinions as it is still a good app

It seems good, the only thing I'd suggest is a bit longer and more detailed bio, however I am not staff, so take that how you want.
