Just to help you with this; I reported this back on page 9. To add to my post;I both destroyed the chest or just emptied it and in all those cases the chest had regenerated/obtained more bonus items.
As with the village's in the post I made with the the TU9 updated; I have noticed more villages with just the well present. There are normal villages too but no blacksmith's in them.
I have tested several times tonight. This is precisely what I am seeing in single-player, offline and in splitscreen offline (NB: I cannot test multiplayer online):
1. When I just leave the chest alone, exit and save and then re-enter. I spawn back in where I saved and there is no new chest generated either in my immediate location or at the initial spawn point.
2. When I empty the chest and remove any outside torches but do not disturb the chest in any other way and the exit and save and then re-enter. As before, I spawn back in where I saved and there is no new chest generated either in my immediate location or at the initial spawn point.
3. When I disturb the chest (destroy it or move it OR cover it over with dirt) and the exit and save, a new chest is generated at the initial spawn point regardless of whether or not my save and exit re-spawn point is close to the inital spawn point or far away from it.
4. When or not I leave the chest or just empty it or destroy it and the just exit without saving the world even once, my initial spawn point is moved and a new chest is generated at that spawn point. The chest first generated at the first initial spawn point, however, is not saved and does not regenerate at that location.
5. When player 2 in splitscreen enters the game and there is an undisturbed or just emptied chest already in the world, no new bonus chest is generated for player 2. Similarly, if player 1 has destroyed the chest or covered it over with dirt and player 2 then enters the world in splitscreen, no new bonus chest is generated for player 2.
6. When I just empty the chest and then exit and save and then re-enter, no new chest is generating. If another player enters the world, however, a new chest does generate for them. if the chest is destroyed or moved in any way or just covered over with dirt and new chest does generate.
These results as described are absolutely 100% consistent for me on my system.
Whether or not a blacksmith's shop generates in a village is a random thing in keeping with the randomness and use of "odds" imbedded in the game's generation fomulas. Think of it as rolling the dice in a board game... sometimes you come up with a double, but more frequently you don't. Abandoned wells have been generating in the Xbox worlds ever since they introduced structures. They ARE rather common in many worlds. I don't know whether or not they ever occur on the PC; but I personally really don't mind that they occur on the Xbox. I think of them as an oasis/water stop for travellers.
For the first time I got to experience the lighting issue when a player told me they had a world they build inTU8 that went to TU9 and they could not find the Ender Portal.
First the ender eyes told me I was on the location I expected to find it with in 20 blocks. The person had copied is save to another device and invited me to their world and put it into creative mode.
using the x-ray it was not even close. so I though I would just talk the person to the portal they told me torches don't any more they way they use to. so getting frustrated with the whole problem I had them drop a torch on the surface and move to them this was almost 70 blocks from the eyes of ender.
so I X-ray again and start the dig down it is black go to drop a few torches and black as sack cloth. I did get to the ender portal and mark the x y z so they could go back their other save and just go to the ender portal.
The light issue only seems to be with the newer worlds not the older to oldest worlds. I do feel bad for those players
found out this this person was in the same city, and state I was just going to delete from my friends list, I am sure it is not a lag issue as there are only to carriers "comcrap is craptastic" and AT&T
I'm not sure where I read this some time ago; but I have long been under the impression that leaving diagonal blocks for walls made a home base vulnerable to hostile mobs getting inside or perhaps it was spawning inside it. As a matter of course, I make any rounded walls two blocks thick such that there are no "corners" with only diagonal blocks touching each other.
This goes all the way back to the old "Mobs spawning in your house while you sleep." (And even before that on to the PC) It was discovered by PC users who built underwater domes and woudl have squids swim through the walls.
Put simply, some vertex to verex connections can be interpreted by the game engine as "open" I know this can be hard to visualize, but imagine the following
Place five block in the shape of a plus sign and then dig out the central block. Now place a block over the empty space (effectively making a 5-block "dome"). As far as the game is concerned, the point at which the vertices of each of the block meet is not "connected" and mobs can (not "will always" but "can") treat such a point as such

re: "lag" - I was referring to internally generated graphics lag due to graphics overload (FPS drops), not communications/internet lag.
RE: Animals Not Breeding Issue - Possible New Info.
I still have further testing to do; but it now seems possible/likely that once the animal cap was reached and animals ceased to be able to breed and even though animals are slaughter and the animal cap is freed up, the breeding ability remains disabled.
Signs are disappearing. I have signs marking items in chests. They disappear at random. Will get screenshots the next time I see it happening.
Signs or Item frames?
I placed over 1000 signs to see if they despawned as item frames/paintings did after a "limit" is hit.. over a thousand and None despawned and no limit in sight.. Good luck!

Odd cause my results were 100% consistent for me on my system also. Only difference is I think, is I do not play multiplayer at all, even locally. I do have my nephew on my Xbox and his profile is silver and we are unable to access his saves, but we do not play together online or locallly or in the same world. Makes me wonder if my Xbox had a hiccup in it's download update and is acting if my worlds are multiplayer, as I never thad this happen with a chest prior to the update. (not that it is a bad thing.....I get extra goodies.)
As to the villages, I never had just a well show up in any world prior to the TU9 update so I was thinking that maybe this was a new feature vs a bug. The well idea doesn't bother me. I kinda like the idea of wells being the last remenant of a village gone to dust. I was just remarking that the worlds that I had with just wells showing up, there is no blacksmith in any other villages...but that could just be me not being lucky...Now that blacksmiths have chests, I don't get a single world, where there are blacksmiths.....LOL

It would be a really wierd cause... but given the most recent Silver Account bug perhaps not out of realm of possibillity. We have only 1 LIVE profile on our Xbox... my son's Gold account. The rest of us normally play using offline only profiles created locally on that Xbox. On the rare occasion that I get to play online, it is as a Guest Profile of my son's account (which are temporary profiles, so player data is not saved game to game). I was surprised to see that Player 2 (local splitscreen) did not generate a separate chest for that player even if it was the first time that player entered that world... since I was of the understanding that to give a new player a headstart was the purpose of the bonus chest feature.
Re: Blacksmiths - I do think they may have decreased the odds of getting one a little with this last update.
Creepers have a tendancy to survive other creepers' explosions in the same block (they were contained) when the damage should've killed them.
Creepers also have a tendancy to phase through walls crowded with mobs right after the world is booted up as you're in front of the wall separating you. When it happens, it seems like the blocks render a split second after the mobs do when the game is done loading.
Chunk edges still have update late. At least for me anyways. You guys made it less common (only about 1/4 times for me), but I still see it a lot in the creative world I discovered it in. It always happens in the Nether now too, and the lag across lighting updating across what I'd also assume are chunks (it's safe to say at this point that the areas it happens at are chunk boundaries despite me not checking my map) is even longer than it used to be.
Another thing that was supposed to be fixed: blocks temporarilly reappear after mining. In my main survival world, it happens even more now for that matter. Please try to do more testing before release. Some of these bug fixes haven't worked for me.
Pistons activate when the redstone nearby them shouldn't connect. It used to happen & it still bugs me.
Last, something to add to some glitchs I reported earlier: the glitch where your own arrows shoot yourself when aimed low w/ a low charge & wolves attcking you when you shoot yourself makes me a little nervous when using my bow while hunting with my wolves. Those glitches are like water & electricity together.
Reported Issues #11 seems to be the most likely culprit for this but I have less than 20 animals in properly sized enclosures and they vanish/die, except rather than the floor being wood, it's dirt/grass blocks. I came back to my sheep pen earlier and found a single block of wool from where it must've died, and my pens are impenetrable from the outside and there were no wild wolves on the inside.
TL;DR - #11 may be causing mob casualties on surfaces other than wood. Otherwise, it's a separate issue and something else is causing my corralled livestock and villagers to disappear.

Just ran into an issue. Quit a game and immediately restarted it. Got a "Connection to Server Was Lost" message... and I'm the server. How the $&%# do I lose connection to my own game?

... and now my xbox locked up. Great.
It did that to me in the last update too, but my Xbox didn't crash. Must be a bigger issue in this update. You also get error codes when you try to start the game right after you boot your Xbox up & log in, so maybe 4J can fix that.
Ive been having Issues with the Xbox version of Minecraft not allowing 2 player split screen. I have two HD TV's (both with HDMI cables) that I have tried it on and it still wont do split screen on either of them. Any suggestions? because I'm stumped!! Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how to put videos in the forums please?
I need to know how to put images and videos because I want to report a bug but I need evidence to show you but I dont know how to put the videos or images so if anyone can tell me, thanks
1. Item Frames and Pictures cannot be placed directly above a fence as the item frames and pictures will break.
2. In survival mode my friend wasn't able to breed his chickens (Yes he used seeds) ,but when he switched it to creative mode temporarily it allowed him to breed his chickens.
More details on piston glitch plus new redstone dust display glitch:
Pistons will be activated from up to 3 blocks away and stay on even if the lever powering it goes off until the lever's destroyed. One block to the side and two blocks above the redstone dust hooked up to a lever powers the piston until the lever's destroyed. Makes a certain invention of mine impossible.
Redstone dust sometimes looks off when it is and should be on. Only seen this w/ a pressure plate attached to a block above the dust, w/ soul sand severing the connection from the looks of it. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't sever the signal, & it really goes through. The dust is unlit as if it did sever the signal though. It never used to do it, but it has been lately. Perhaps after a certain number of on / off cycles it displays incorrectly.
