the maps should be way bigger than they are now . the ones now tend to cramp in multiplayer
HA! forget bigger worlds its hard enough to find daimonds in the first place i dont want to work even more. i doubt bigger worlds mean more daimonds. it will only mean waisting more pickaxes trying to find what you want

Bigger worlds would NOT mean anything would be any more rare. For any 16 x 16 chunck the ratios would be eactly like they are now.
I tend to stay in one world adding to it for months so for my playing style, bigger worlds would be great.

Please actually read posts before responding, so you don't end up looking stewped.
That slightly kills the challenge of finding a "perfect" map...
Anyhow, this is unlikely--if at all possible--for the 360 due to memory limitations....

First off, the Xbox does not actually have the limitations people think it has. It has 512 mb of ram total, and at least 256 mb of ram to run the game. That is already more than enough ram to run the PC edition, and that has twice sky limit, and infinite worlds. It is limited a, because Micro$oft said they can't, or b, because of the people with 4 gb hard drives, and they don't want saves that are that big. Second, in our current worlds, there are 4096 chunks. There is an average of 3 diamond ores per chunk, so there are 12288 diamond ores per world. They would not be more spread out, just added in. Say they doubled world size so there were four of what we have now. There would be 16384 chunks. That number times three would be the number of diamond ores per world. 49152 would be the number of diamond ores per world. So, MinecraftinLikeCrazy, now that I have explained this, do you still not want larger worlds? (Sorry about all of the math, I too was doing this on my computer's calculator)

I would love to have larger maps for my creative... uhmm... creations. Haha. But seriously, when I build a city that spans the entire map and still have ideas for the layout, I feel like smashing my controller. Maybe double the size.
4J has already said map size will likely never increase. The Xbox 360 doesn't have enough RAM.
The only way the worlds would get bigger is they could remove parts of the game to lessen the stress on the Xbox 360. There example would be to remove the server client off of the Xbox 360 and onto actual servers. That of course is a huge undertaking and it would be up to Microsoft and 4J to know if it would be worth the effort or not.

The maps on 360 version are big enough. Bloody Phoenix said, Xbox has smaller amounts of space then a Average PC does.
If they were to put unending maps on the X360 version, well... trust me. It's not that easy as it seems.
yes taller would be better but just adding one more layer could be dangrouse. or at least it seems that way from what ive been hearing

I still think they should either give us the option to sacrifice split screen in a world for size or give us rentable servers.
Maybe even link up our own servers but I bet there would be problems with Microsoft in that respect.
I'd like to say Im not pushing the idea but I am desperate I seem to remember being promised larger worls sizes at release, anybody else remember that?

alright that doesnt even make sense.... split screen isnt something added to the game. would you rather lose all updates minecraft ever had for 50 blocks lager maps. you need to be great full for what you have. there WILL NOT be larger maps on the Xbox 360 would you rather lose all item from updates and never have the end just to walk 50 blocks more

why would you even want that. would you get rid of sprinting for it. i bet in those 50 blocks you will find 1 daimond nothing else. and even if you will forget all the updates. no many others will so they wont add bigger maps

They've already said numerous times that Splitscreen has no effect on the world size. So sacrificing it wouldn't do anything.
You memory is clouded. They never once promised larger worlds. All they've ever said on the subject is that in the future they'll try to optimize as much as possible and even then, there are no guarantees that they can increase world size. You're probably just remember the endless amounts of false information that was being spread around by ignorant people.

The only way worlds could ever get any bigger would be to remove things from the game which is obviously not going to happen.
