@ DeezL Virus, I think it just glitched out and kicked him off. I think he's a little intimidated because you're an adult and he doesn't want to mess up or something. Thank you for offering to play with him, though.
@Rev_Apoc, if you're doing gift bags an idea might be to throw in a few Minecraft printables. You can find some easily online, buy some sturdy paper at a craft store or an office supply store, and print off enough for each child. I looked briefly and saw one for a pig, Steve, and a zombie. They can take them home in their goody bags and parents can help put them together with some tape or you could organize them around and help them cut the figures out and tape them together at the party.
You could try making sugar cookies prior to the party, cut and bake them into squares, and provide frosting and tips for the kids to decorate their own "Minecraft" blocks.
You could do a scavenger hunt if you have a yard and tell kids they have to find so many "sticks", "diamonds", "coal", etc. It would take some prep cause you'd have to make all of the items but given the age group they would probably love it. At the end of the hunt you could even have them turn in their findings to get an item from a "villager" similar to in the game. I've done prizes for every guest before and we've looked at dollar stores and Walmart and Toys R Us $1-$5 bins to find things that aren't too expensive but kids still think are neat so you might be able to do the same.
Thanks for the tags yall, my son doesnt have his own account yet but we added a bunch of you to my account so he can play when we see yall on! he's already having a blast and waking his little brother up.
My daughter is 6 and wants Minecraft friends badly, but I can't let her play with her brother's friends (he's 13).
Her GT is NicoleDG if anyone would like to add her. She has a mic (sometimes it doesn't work) and doesn't swear or anything.
Also, she sometimes hits the wrong buttons for party/invite - sorry in advance.
YAY for little kids playing this game!
(edit: my older son is helping us add new friends and may ask how old they are - because he's a worrier. no disrespect meant! he also helps her respond to invite messages.)
My grandson is 8yrs old and is in the same predicament and is looking for someone to play with on minecraft but I don't know how to add anyone so he can play
My kids are also looking for other kids to play minecraft! My daughter is 11 and my son is 6. I often play online with them.

I am not looking to play with anyone but I would like to congratulate you parents for taking an active role in monitoring your children. I don't swear on the mic or anything like that but when I join into a game and hear a young voice swearing, it is kind of disturbing. I always wonder where their parents are to allow this. I am 14 by the way. Good luck to everyone.
I would also like to build a group for my 6 year old son to play with. We would use kinect and monitor all interactions. I am not so sure about putting the gamertag out there - but here goes nothing. We are SmugPlace1 (we did not pick this name, we just haven't changed the one given to us). We live in the Eastern time zone and play after school.
Love this post! My son was actually crying on the way home from school today because nobody wants to talk about Minecraft with him or be in his "Minecraft club" at school. My son is 7 and his GT is adkryan. He just sent requests out
This thread is so cute! I'm 17 and would gladly play with anyone just add medinajulia, I usually leave my mic unplugged so no need to worry about swearing (:

Our son is 8. We do have a mic. He enjoys playing Creative or Survival. He is really good at the game and doesn't mind showing other kids how to do something if they need help. He does not swear and will only "fight" with swords and armor if the other player wants to. He is homeschooled so gets bored without other kids to play with sometimes. Please feel free to request to play with him. We have two gamertags: PrewettTribe is the family one and SpikeoftheDoom is mainly his. We do monitor him playing and do not allow inappropriate behavior. Thanks so much! P.S. We are in the Eastern Time Zone.
Hi,
My child is 7 almost 8. She loves to play minecraft! Her gt is lovetoplay3.
We are going to try to add your son. She does not have mic capabilities yet. We do have kinect. I am sure I could figure it out later....I think I have a head set still in the xbox game package.

Found this blog while looking at stuff online, too. She threw a party for her kid and it has some neat ideas you might be able to draw from. http://becauseiamthemama.blogspot.com/2011/02/minecraft-birthday.html Here's the link.
If I think of anything else I'll let you know. Hope some of this helps!
