Sweet!!! I'm kind of tweaking your design a bit. No idea if it will work out or not, haha. I will let you know my results. Could take a while to build these four villager spawners and mob elevators as I need to gather resources but oh well! Oh, one other thing. A buddy I was just talking to said villagers don't spawn in peaceful, is this true, do you know?

Breed or spawn? Because They def breed in peaceful while I'm on creative.. and I see no reason why they wouldnt in survival But I don't play in peaceful when on survival so couldn't 100% confirm that..

Spawn. I just wanted to see how the spawner worked so i started up a new seed in creative and made it, and none of them spawned after about 10 minutes or so. I'll put it on hard and see what happens.
again they will not spawn without a village so keep that in mind
OH! Well that may be the problem, haha. I thought the little thing you made with all the doors was considered a village which made them spawn inside of it. Does the village have to be within a certain distance of the breeder?
lol no they wont SPAWN period... they are only able to reproduce... So if you don't already have villagers.. there won't be any..ever! no matter how many villages you build... there

Haha, yea I must have been high on life earlier or something cause you made it pretty obvious and I wasn't picking up what you were putting down, haha. Well after searching my entire map I thought all hope was lost until the last little quadrant revealed a GIANT village. Just gonna be a pain in the ass to build a minecart track all the way out there.
Thanks for the help man. You have gained a subscriber! I'll tell my friends.
How in the hell do I get villagers in mine carts?! HAHA. I've been pushing this guy mercilessly for 15 minutes and he won't GET IN!
EDIT: Patience is a virtue
EDIT 2: Will they breed in the mine carts? I don't want to let them out of that little circle track that you have going there because then they'll fall down the water flow.

Haha, it truly is a pain! So my set up is a bit different than yours but I would have the same concern either way. Won't there eventually be too many villagers and it will make the game really laggy? Your way, I would have 1 breeder with a mob elevator at the foot of each pod, and in theory, villagers will continue to fill up the pods with many many villagers, thus making the game lag. My way, each pod could be considered a breeder itself and they breed inside the pods as well as at the breeder at the bottom, once again continuously filling to infinity? I've only had it going for about an hour, and the first pod has filled to what I would say is about 30 or 40 villagers.
Is there anyway to stop the breeding completely? Besides emptying the breeder at the bottom so there are no "parent" villagers?

Figures, right? Are the pods in your design supposed to breed as well? Or no? Also do villagers eventually just die off? Or do they live forever. Cause if they live forever I guess I'll just try to get like 10 -15 guys in each pod then just kill the parents so they'll stay that way
They live forever.. I believe they are supposed to breed in those pods.. Problem is i built my iron golem farm in snow biome.. and apparently they don't count as villages there... so I have to relocate..

Oh man, that's terrible. I just finished mine up, if you want my GT is Sir Chellington, I'd like for you to take a look and critique for me. If you're busy though, no worries!

Well I'm at work right this moment.. and with the total fail that was mine. I'm in no position to critique! lol though it wasn't my fault I didn't know about the Snow Biomes being problematic

It's weird. I'm not sure how much you've fussed around with yours since you got home from work, but I've discovered the breeding of the villagers seems much more controlled at this point. Before the Iron Golems started spawning, I had upwards of 20 villagers in each pod. I would have to kill off all but 3 or 4 every 20 minutes of so, but since I finished building it and the Golems are spawning, it seems the pods are much more limited. I haven't killed any villagers in about 2 hours of gameplay and the largest one only has about 7 villagers in it! I'm very happy with my build. Kind of makes me want to get out my cap card and take a video just to show it off. I'm lazy as hell though

While I was at work my friend built it AWAY from the snow biome (Stupid Snow!) and Bam!™ totally worked... same thing though once the Iron Golem spawner was going it kept the villager breeding under control... It didn't seem to be correlated to the amount of doors as it normally would be.. but it's up and running! Good to hear yours is in full effect as well!

Haha, well that would suck wouldn't it? lol. So do I need to make the villager spawning systems 128 blocks away from the funnel? Or no?
