That would be amazing if you could do that. Would be great to see how someone who is good at redstone sets it all up. As for the lock i alrdy built a 9 digit order sensitive combo lock for my vault. So it would be just a matter of copying my design. The only thing im really worried about i guess is making it compact so it looks nice. Due to the fact that i want the wiring to be the actual focus point of the base. Maybe underground or underwater with a glass ceiling so you can look in.
Sorry, I put it off 'til about an hour ago and it was a bit more complicated than I thought it would be. xD It's practically done though, but I gotta be up early tomorrow. I'll finish it up real quick in the morning, pinky promise.
lol you don't need to ask permission to use "his" design
that would be like me posting a video of me knifing someone in CoD, and you asking me for permission to knife someone in your CoD game.
It kind of becomes a big deal in the case of redstone. Today I found a submission on Planet Minecraft, that was put up two weeks ago... It had a single picture of my computer that I built a couple months ago. It was titled "30-RAM Computer" wtf does that even mean?! Is that some horrible play on words, referencing to 30 Rock? Are you saying it has 30 bits of RAM? Because it doesn't! It has 32 bits of RAM, you douchebag!!! I already commented and reported it probably 10 hours ago now and the lazy ass moderators still haven't touched it. Then I go into the chatroom, and there are like 5 mods in there, dickchoding around, not doing their damn job!
Sorry.. I had to vent, and you were the nearest innocent bystander.

I know he probably wouldn't be the kind of person to do such a thing, but still. I'd rather show some respect and courtesy than steal and risk being reported.

Out of curiousity, did the guy build it and played it off like it was his? Or did he straight out take your photo and post it without naming you as the inventor?

You're not supposed to submit a project unless it is your own work. Even if he gave credit to me, it's still against the rules as he would receive diamonds and XP for my work. After I left a comment, his story changed a bit:
"First its just a pic cus i havent finished my current one but when it is done it will be different
and plus i diamonded your work :)"
That's still no excuse for using a photo of someone else's project. You should at least have a build started, with at least one photo, before you post a project, then you can set it as "5% Complete" or whatever. I know he doesn't know a damn thing about RS computers anyway, because someone asked what it would be used for, and he said gaming... My old computer is about as useful for gaming as a toaster oven.
It's pointless to run a game on even an epic RS computer. A standalone version will always run at least 10 times faster and will be a hell of a lot easier to build. People only connect games to RS computers to show off their programming skills and how powerful the CPU is.

Wow what a joke this guy is. No wonder you were pissed.
And apologies to the original poster for not staying on topic. Your lab looks amazing. I am very impressed.

Dude, become an architect... we need more buildings like this rather than big grey squares.
Thxs , that was exactly what i wanted to be when i grew up. Altho i cant take credit for the design of the building. I just took a drawing and put my spin on it
No worries take your time, your doing me a favor lol altho i wont lie i am very eager to see what you did
Ummm, okay. So I finished what I started last night, and I wasn't pleased with it so I started from scratch again. It's done, but... it half works. It's fine for the first two latches you hook up, but for any memory cells after that, the delay for automatic reset is too long, so you have to hit the button twice. Also, it's pretty big and ugly, overall I recommend not even using this. I'm sure there's a simpler way, I'm going to dig around on the Wiki and see if I can't find a way to solve this problem.
^^^ So it starts with this, a 1-wide tileable RS NOR latch. There are better designs than this, but I needed it for my original idea... which failed. Then my next idea sort of worked, but not well enough. Then my attempt after that ended up with the horrible abomination you see below.
Yeah.. just... don't even bother with it. I know there are better ways of doing this out there. Just haven't found any yet. Don't worry, this isn't my last post here and I haven't given up. I have a couple more ideas, I'm just going to search for some components that may be able to help me out. This is just a little update to show you my epic failure.

No worries, I started messing around with it last night as well. Actually quite nice to see that we are going about it in a similar way. Started off by trying to tweak and compact the rs nor array i use for my station selector. The more compact version had the same problem as yours. with the reset line coming in after the selection was made for the last couple of latches. Which lead me to try and make it tileable. Due to the fact that if it was i would have to use a pattern of alternating dust and repeaters between the buttons and the rs array for no cross talk. More repeaters = better control over timing. at least in my opinion But i actually ran out of redstone and didnt have the time to really go mining before bed lol. Will try more tonight after work to see what i can come up with. As well as i just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to brainstorm with me

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my problem is I'm over complicating things. I was trying to set a latch, whose output would reset the other latches. It works great for two buttons, but after that delay becomes a problem and the wiring becomes a clusterf*ck. My new idea is resetting ALL latches, then setting the latch that corresponds to the button. In theory, this should work perfectly, and be a lot simpler, more compact, and faster. I'm going to try it out after I'm done messing around on the forum.

Finished. Turns out, it's ridiculously easy. I was thinking about it all wrong the first few times. This new design is infinitely expandable, and each latch outputs in 4 ticks, and sets in 5 ticks.
^^^ Just an overview.
^^^ These are the latches I'm using this time around. It doesn't matter what design you use, but these are the fastest, they set and reset in 2 ticks. Also, I chose it because it's perfect if you want an output under your memory cell.
^^^ Branch your signal from the button. If you're using the RS NOR latch design I am, add a 3-tick delay to the input. If not, just make sure to have enough delay that it takes your latch at least 5 ticks to set.
^^^ Extend the other branch to control your pistons, make sure you have some repeaters here so the signal can hit all pistons. Also make sure the line doesn't go directly over the set torch on your latch. Place a torch on a block for your piston to push a block on top of, to reset the latches.
^^^ This is the handy thing about these latches. You can place a line directly under the output without much trouble.
Also, you don't have to invert the signals back to their original state. You're not going to be building an orthodox decoder, so it's not necessary. You can customize it so high signals keep their commands off and low signals will activate corresponding commands. And now that I think about it, this wouldn't even be a decoder at all. It's just inverting and branching signals.
P.S. Sorry about the rain, but the shots were pretty clear so I took them anyway.

First of all;
What are they going to do about it?
Can they prove you stole an idea?
I see people make an "S.O.S." sign in just about every single world they make, so if I do that in my world, am I stealing from them?
This is honestly the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Minecraft is a video game about building things. I mean, if you made a video game called "castle miner" I'd call that stealing, or ripping off someones idea. But mine craft is about building things, you can't copy someone else's work, because their work, is the act of them playing the game.
Again, as I mentioned before. Its like knifing someone in a call of duty game, and then accusing someone of plagiarism when they do it in their own game. Its ridiculous, and absurd.
On the other hand, actually claiming that it was your idea, when it was not, is not okay.
Heres an idea, like something someone else has done in mine craft? Create it then, just don't post pictures/video on the internet claiming you are the one that came up with the idea. Simple as that.
And my main point, is that even if you did replicate the OP's building job, you could still claim it was yours. He got the idea from someone else, so he can't do a thing about it, if you choose to build the same structure.
