I'm slightly disappointed with the Pocket Edition, simply due to the lack of enemies, day/night cycle, resource collection, etc.. Though I realize that the iTouch/iPhone/Android aren't computers, I bought a similar game (SurvivalCraft)for my Windows phone, which provided all features listed above, other than the existence of enemies. The game also allowed me to craft specific objects, lose health, and sleep. This leads me to believe that the Pocket Edition could've been similar to the computer version, simply due to the fact that SurvivalCraft was not made by Mojang, and because Windows Phones are not as technically capable as Android phones or iPhone/iTouch. Hence, much more could've been done to this game to mimic the computer version. Without enemies or the collecting of resources, the constructing of "shelters" is pointless outside of the expression of creativity. Even with creativity as the main inspiration and fuel of the Pocket Edition, there isn't a vast variety of blocks, which causes boredom to settle after about five playing experiences. Though the game is not necessarily awful, I believe the game could've been much better. If the game has updates slowly adding the much-needed content, then my excitement for this game will be restored. However, the watered-down feel of this game is a huge disappointment.
When Minecraft PE was released for xperia Play all of us users without the xperia Play wanted Minecraft PE for our phones, so we complained and they made it touchscreen compatible, instead of adding new features they worked on making it available for our devices. Now that they've done that they'll start to add more features. If you want to complain about the lack of features in this, then stfu and go somewhere else. They'll add features, no one is forcing you to buy it. I mean heck, if Minecraft PE was still only out for xperia play, we'd all be complaining about getting it for our devices.

Simple Answer: IT'S CREATIVE. WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT FOR A CELL PHONE GAME?
Our cellphones aren't the old ones that can just play Snake. It can do way more.
Comparing snake to minecraft PE, do you even realize how big of a diffrence that is, snake is 2d and you can only have 2 game options at once. Minecraft is a 3d world, it generates that by itself and it already has a seed system, it also has to remember your maps, and on top of that you actually can change the world unlike most video games. And its not like they can just copy and past, they have to translate almost all the code, a long and tedious piece of work you should be grateful that you even have it on your phone.
