They should expand minecraft to every console a OS because the way i see it thats more money for Mojang and Notch which means more minecraft features and a better minecraft all together... All i know is if they make it for iOS thats more money out of my pocket going to this awesome game.\

Hey iOS users. Hey Xperia Play users. Hey Andriod users. guess what. stop telling each other what notch will do. its notch's game. he can code it into whatever he wants. sure minecraft might go on andriod first. but does that make it better? no. The iOS has more apps. but does THAT make it better? no. not lets all be happy for minecraft on mobiles instead of fighting about it.
I saw some people saying that it wont be out on the app store for ipads, ipod touch, and iphone. can somebody confirm this with me? i own an ipodtouch and ipad, and would love to play it on the ipad. Please tell me if you know.

I agree, because god forbid I can have cool things without having to own 2-3 phones. That'd be way too convenient.
Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh(its hard to tell how harsh I'm being sometimes when all I have to compare to is an internet with tons of trolls :tongue.gif: ), but this is starting to frustrate me a little bit. Also, no I don't care if if we're missing out on cool things because of technical reasons like the programming language, or controls. This is just directed towards the people saying cool things shouldn't come to iOS just because it has "too much" good stuff (including several other people in this thread that I'm not going to list the names of). If you don't like missing out on some cool stuff, then you could like, get an iphone, ipod touch, or ipad. And even if you can't for some reason, thats no good reason those of us who can should get less. If you can come up with some logical reason that awesome things shouldn't be on iOS other than some sort of technical problems, I'd love to hear it.

To all of those who are complaining that the game is in Java, thus iOS won't be able to handle it. Um, that's what porting and re-coding is for. Mojang know what they're doing to re-code it. Don't expect they cant do it. I can't wait for the iOS version and it would just blow me away if there ever managed to be a Nintendo 3DS version, although it seems extremely unlikely. You never know what is thinking of.

Because people are, on average, fairly stupid. And by definition half of all people are stupider than that.
One of the reasons that they won't make it on iDevices is because Apple are stupid and do not accept to with-hold applications such as Minecraft. It's happened before with other applications such as Grooveshark (Must be Jailbroken to get Grooveshark.)
You can't compare Minecraft to Grooveshark. Grooveshark streams illegally obtained music. Also, iOS is coded in Objective-C, not Java.

That was posted almost a month ago, and Notch never said it would be out for Android and IOS, he said it would be out for Android, and possible IOS, but it isn't upgraded enough, or has the correct specs to run it. Take a look at the Android specs, they are really good, yet it can't even run Minecraft that good. Compare the IOS to Android specs. Uh, Android has way better specs. Before thinking a game can run on anything, take a look at the processing power it takes to run it. Take a look at all the stuff needed for the Android to run not even creative mode.
Ya I heard it was being considered for IOS http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/08/minecraft-pocket-edition/ makes since it would release on android first since they incorporate more users though. I have an IPhone 4 and it would be nice for an IOS release so my fingers are still crossed.
