So I've been running a server recently with my friends, and we went from vanilla to Bukkit and got some nice plugins(browser map, no death drops, so on) but we wanted to try out mods too....specifically Feed The Beast(Twilight Forest) and the upcoming 1.5.2 Aether soon enough....but Bukkit wouldn't support mods. So we switched back to vanilla because we decided mods>plugins we had. Is there any host/way to have BOTH plugins and any mods? I heard tekkit can but they are on 1.5.1 still. I tried MCPC but it doesn't support the mods we want, just a very few.

Disconnected from server.
Is this in anyway repairable or is this just saying Feed The Beast(fully alternate dimension mod) is incompatible and cannot be played with it?

Were you ever able to resolve your issue? I'm encountering the exact same ID conflicts on a modpack I made trying to connect to a server I made with MCPC+ (for 1.6.2)
Some mods use a global id system rather then fixed ids. They will have a single id setting in their config that it uses as the starting value for its item set and that's it. This can cause mismatches in ids based on how the client and server start orders are different. Best way to overcome this is to re-space your item ids so that there is some spare room between each item set in the list. If you have NEI on your client, you can go to the options button for it when in your inventory, and there will be an option to have it create an "used item/block id map dump". This will give you a list of all the used ids, and whats using them, making it easy to go and alter the needed mod configs.
The only problem I have with MCPC+ is this:
