I am actually in the process of reopening it, but this time it won't be free, sorry. I was getting a lot of requests and it started taking up a lot of time to complete all of them. I am planning to reopen it this weekend with the price list and different packages I will be offering. So keep an eye out. If you have noticed i had started changing up the original post.

(I do not have all mobs, but when I get a first request for one I will create a model and rig for it)

I used to do it free several months ago, but while it gave me good practice it was tough to keep up with the demand. That was the main reason I closed it, it just took too much time and I couldn't spend that much time on free work. I decided to re-open it since I was still getting weekly requests by mail and pms and some willing to pay for it.
i think people may not come here a lot since it costs now and btw this was a great thread before the money thread update came out
I do expect a large decrease in requests, but this way I can keep up with it and the extra money would be helpful since I don't have a fixed income and rely on my freelance work, local and online, in order to support myself. I will be adjusting my prices based on how things go, but since most requests I will possibly get will be from server owners or any minecraft based business my prices won't go too low.
I may offer occasional free services that will be limited to a certain amount of requests in the future for the average forum user.
Thanks DaySurvivalist, I appreciate what you said I use Blender for my 3d work, it is just too good of a program for a free one. I haven't considered selling characters with the rigs included. The rig I made isn't very user friendly and has some issues that I got used to and have been able to work around. I would have to make some modifications to the rigs in order for it to be sell-able. It is something I will think about adding to the shop.

when i said that u wont get much people i meant that ur greater than amzing but there is someone called archosmanf he does gfx too but for free and he has 70+ hole pages of people and he handles it that means u can handle it too if u do it quick if u want search for it

And your point is...? I'm willing to bet the other guy doesn't put the same level of detail into his characters as Weerdoh does. It's not up to you to decide that he can do them faster and for free... why are you even suggesting that?

Good thing I use blender too! It's such a great program and it costs zero. It would be great if you could sell a bundle with the character model and rig, maybe add in a dog or two. I'd love to get some tips for rendering minecraft too because I'm pretty new at it. Best part about your renders is probably the way the textures are 3D too. Overall great style.

Do you use cycles for rendering? That is what I use since it is now Blender's official renderer. It is great, I just need to learn it some more and get used to working with Nodes.
About the 3d textures, they aren't actually generated from the texture itself. What I do is add geometry to the model to add depth to clothes/armor and whatever items are on the texture. This way you get shadows from it as well. So basically it is like a hat layer but throughout the entire model.

He also does good scene renders, but to be honest, some of his finished products are better than others and you can tell which ones he rushed through and that has nothing to do with his capabilities. He could make each request great, but in order to fulfill his requests he has to sacrifice certain details in some of them. Since it is a free service that is acceptable.

No problem at all, looking forward to the rig being available. This may give me a good starting point to try out Blender after using 3Ds Max for a while.
Hey man. Awesome work. I just got blender but all the rigs i've tried SUCK!!!!!! What rig do you use?

I have mentioned this earlier, but in case you didn't see it, I will be offering a service soon where I will create a model based on your skin and you will receive it with a functioning rig. This way you can do your own poses and animations as well. More detail on it will come when it is available for purchase.
