I have finished the main gate of the town. Walls are still to be added :
Another one is the central canal. I'm still thinking on how long the canal could be.
Next one is the screenshots on the WIP District 1 :
* First house :
* Second House :
* Third House
* Fourth House :
* Fifth House :
In the middle of the houses is a small pond.
Here's the current update of the town :
That's the update for now
[Update 2] - Sept. 24, 2012
Hello everyone. For some of the criticism and suggestion of other user. I added the outline for buildings and added some more greenery for the first district. Sorry for the picture. I'll upload more of the ingame pictures of the update.
The picture was generated by MCMAP. Sorry for the pic. I'll upload more again tomorrow.
[Update 3] - Sept 28, 2012
Hello. Sorry for the slow update cause of some internet problems. Here's the screenshots of the opinions you told me. Specifically the outline of houses and some more greenery. So here it is.
while the design of the buildings are technically nice, it lacks a sense of realism. That is, i don't feel like anyone lives in these "houses". also, I hope you will take out some of the cobble. it washes out the detail on the houses, especially with cobble ceilings.

I know. I'm still doing the houses and the structures for the town and I'm doing the details the walkways after doing all districts. This districts are placed with buildings that are for rent.

This is a normal generated world. Its just edited in world painter.
Sorry but are you autistic? It's not a "Normal generated world" if you've edited it in world painter.
Oooh another thread?! I'm definitely looking forward to this one! I loved your last build :3
I think the houses look awesome, and totally livable. And that little pond and walkway look awesome!
Are you going to detail the cobble ground a bit so it looks more realistic? Like outlining the houses a bit and making the cobble more of a street or plaza. Decent job thus far though.
Hey, don't listen to the first couple of comments, listen to Pure. These builds are AMAZING. And yeah, they look totally livable, I dunno what that other guy was talking about.

Autistic do you even understand what the word means and unless you truly know what the people who are dyslexic autistic dyspraxic etc have to deal with your not really in a position to comment...
Also the builds aren't bad but it does feel a little lifeless by adding a bit of variation in height adding a bit more greenery to fill in the gaps between the houses it would look much better
I was asking a question, I hate people like you. People that take everything so literally.
There is no reason to get rude, at all. I suggest you calm down Black and think harder on your most common 'insult' with calling people autistic Yes, believe it or not your comment can actually offend people.
Aside from that rubbish above, I have always adored those style homes you're using for your build. They always look so quaint and the detailing you can add inside will give it much more personality. What I can see you are doing on the outside bits, the park is a very nice fit. The start of the gated wall has a great design to its entrance, just be sure the wall itself keeps in a similar design so the entrance doesn't seem out of place like most people tend to do. Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Yes. I will detail the cobble stone. And add some hedges around some houses to give somehow an outline to it
The houses up until now could sometimes use more different shapes in their roofs. Not all the windows look better when decorated with flowers. It is time consuming and masks the actual structure you wish to display. I suggest to use the trapdoors next to the window, but also only when the actual structure is done. Ironbars around the windows closest to the ground gives a sense of security, again the same guideline applies. When you start a city it can sometimes be better to start on a grass elevation and make use of the shape of the floor for a more pleasing horizon. The grass gives more room to make your buildings fit in and allows for different infrastructure. Also manufactured and ceramic materials are rare for any population. Chimneys every few houses create more sense of life by adding warmth.
Yes. I'll try to add some chimneys. (I always forget it when building) I will also keep those in mind

It's a normal generated world. I spawned in the plains and just flatten it out using world painter. Hello?
This is what I want on my MC tombstone:
Nothing looks "as good or better" in superflat versus a standard world.
