So, it looks like you used VoxelSniper for this build. Sweet!
A few tips for beautifying this place (if you wish to do so):
Add beaches. Just use the overlay brush (/b over d1), and set your Voxel to sand. Paint away. Beaches add realism.
Then blend it using a splatterball (/b sb m), and splatter sand where your grass and sand meet. You can then go in and splatter more types of sand (sandstone, yellow wool, gravel, etc.)
Add trees, and make a forest using the Tree Brush (/b t [tree type]). Dot them around, and then don't forget to splatter leaves, dirt, gravel, and other things around the floor for more natural terrain.
Smooth your terrain out. Some of it looks a bit botched. I generally use a mix of Smooth (/b e smooth), Melt/Fill (/b e melt and /b e fill), Random Erode (/b re), and just a smidgen of Blendball (/b bb). Don't go out of control with any of these, and I recommend that you use all of them cohesively.
For more rolling terrain, such as you may want near the water, I'd recommend using the Disc brush (/b d m), and then layering them around on top of each other, before smoothing it out. It can create a nice, smooth, rolling terrain.

We are still learning VoxelSniper as we build. So newbie mistakes are going to be a common thing for a wile.
I never thought of using splatterball for beaches I'll give it a try! Thanks for the tips!
Side Question: Do any of the Voxel crew make tips and tricks videos for better terraforming? I haven't seen any on the channel.

Oh, that's alright. I was a New Sniper too at one time. By the way, for the Splatterball, you'll want to do a replace (/b sb mm), where the first "m" is the one you actually want to use (sand, ID 12), and the second "m" is the one you want to replace (grass, ID 2). This'll make it so it won't really be a ball, just an area cover.

And yes, WellStarbursts (a Sniper on our server) makes VoxelSniper tutorials among other things. You can see them here: http://www.youtube.c...70&feature=plcp
Looks awesome so far! I'm looking forward to the release!
Thank you! We are still working a little bit everyday and hope to be completed soon.
I just finished placing chests and other necessities to the maps other objective point other than simple PvP. I'm currently working on the excel sheet in order to make sure that each team has the same amount of items as another.
We only have the structures to finish, redstone wiring to complete, map testing, and video making left before we can release the map to everyone. It will be in the Maps Section when it is finally completed.
Just wanted to let some of the people know who may follow this topic that we are still working on the map. I've finished placing the random chests and choosing the loot for inside them, along with the middle watch tower is fully complete. We just need to finish the structures in order to fully complete them.
Some things we have left to finish:
Fine tune mob spawning (There's a lot spawning and need to find a way to cut it down.)
MCedit ... editing ( Terrain changes and other things )
Final Redstone for the Structures needs to be put in
Map Testing
Video Making
After that, we should be all set and ready to release our first map!
This map look AMAZING. You have a guaranteed download from me. And maybe a new subscriber!
=D
We won't have pictures until the release because most of the stuff we are working on is mostly redstone, the top of the castle and the parts we have been keeping hush hush.
Not a huge fan of pvp myself, but this is a good map; perhaps make a few small fringe settlements to serve as 'draw points' that make players curious and draw them into each other?

I guess you could say we have that in this map. The other goal of this map, besides eliminating all others, has something to do with exploring the entire map to get further.
The map is 97% complete! I am fixing minor things such as the amount of mobs that spawn to light and double checking all redstone.
We still need a name for our map as well, we decided to leave that until last.
The only thing left to do us make an "amazing" Trailer/Video for it and post it!
Amazing! how did you start the map with no blocks btw?
I'm not 100% sure of the details but, I believe that we downloaded a null world plugin for bukkit during 1.2.5. We then used world edit to place one single block in the air, created a giant disk in the sky, followed by using voxel sniper to build it up to the size we currently have.

I used MultiVerse on my Bukkit server and used the NullTerain plugin to have it empty. Then just used World Edit to place 1 block and went from there.
After doing it once by yourself it make more sense then me explaining it. Just make sure you read everything carefully then do it step by step. Other wise you will mess up and then have to start over.
Days remaining until we can release the map

Quick Question: Do you want to play this map before everyone else?
If so, check out this forum post here!
We are currently editing it on MCEdit and running a test play of the map to see if it all works!

It was just myself and Mattsenzo. That's it.
I'm currently working on the download link, videos, forum post, and then it should be up!
That would be neat! I would love to see videos and servers with them.
