If I remember correctly, here are the themes and who suggested each:
- Time (taschneide)
- The Fallen Future (Drago)
- Atlantian Constructs (Apollo)
- Future (The Sketch)
- Afterlife (The Sketch)
- Hell (Infamy)
- Not What it Seems (rexxefa)
I might be missing something (as I can't access them either), but I think that was it.
(And about "Future" being similar to "The Fallen Future"... I didn't exactly intend for "Future" to be an option when I mentioned it, because at the time I thought the theme would be picked by Shaymin instead of a poll. So if anyone is wondering why those two are very similar, there you go.)
I can't help thinking about the jam every now and then, so I'm getting some rough ideas for a few of the themes in my head, but I'm refraining from writing anything down so as to respect the 24 hours of planning time.
we'll see how many of those objectives are actually made
well...u shudup .3.
lol, but yeah i just realized that. sorry i miscounted for some reason, it will be 8 .3.
Hey! I like, run this... or something:
The themes are designed to be fairly open ended say Time is chosen, you could make a map centered around time travel, or set inside a clock, or where the map itself is timed. So long as you think it fits the theme then it is ok. The themes don't really have explanations they are just one word to give you some inspiration.

And on sunday I have a family gathering and on monday I would be busy because of school. So I literally have hours to make my map.
Oh well.
I've cleared it up, though, and it looks like things are going to be fine. I've also found out that I literally have nothing I have to do over the weekend, so I'll definitely be able to put something together for this! I'm excited!
And as for the length, it all depends on what the theme is and how many ideas I can come up with. The most wool I'll probably use is four (seeing as this is my first time trying something like this), but if I have a lot of time I can really focus on making each individual area great and maybe add a few bonus objectives.
I've also come up with very rough plans for some of the themes, and I have one for a specific theme that I like so much I'll make it a minimap on my own time if that theme isn't selected. HYPEHYPEHYPE!
Well crap.. Orchard isn't showing for this jam, and I thought Skeeto wasn't either. I'm a little bit iffy about how well I'll do now that I know my competition is you and Skeeto. I think I'm a a bit out of my league here. :/
You'll do fine. Remember, this is more of a fun event than a competition. It's all about putting out your best effort in the time given and just having fun with it.
And to be honest, I definitely wouldn't rank myself among people like Skeeto at the moment seeing that I've never actually posted a map and therefore lack balancing experience. Even if I manage to pull off nice aesthetics, the gameplay of whatever I come up with might turn out to be... well, not good.
Edit: Just realized that my four-month complimentary Curse Premium subscription thing ends tomorrow. I haven't really done anything with it, but I'm going to miss that light blue name and premium tag. ;_;
Plus xekaj is the major competition if anyone is.
TIME
The planning stage has begun! Remember, no building until tomorrow!
Edit: As for the "competition" aspect it is really really low key. Last time some people suggested we do a poll and that seemed to be popular so I threw one up but in general "winning" is not a huge part of this. Anyway enjoy planning!

Could you possibly explain a bit more about this theme? I'm not sure I understand it.
Just sayin'
Oh, and the Monument pieces will be schematics for redstone/hopper clocks...

Edit: If I won't get it to work until tomorow, I'll use 1.5.2 and add 1.6 stuff later
