Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
Hey guys I got a new idea today. It's like classic race for the wool except the goal is to race to the end of your lane before the other team, but you have a limited amount of lives. I think it should be over for any player who dies 10 times. If your whole team dies, you lose.
What do you think?
I'm also going to make a CTM eventually that forces the player to use gold tools all the time and it's going to have some interesting trades. I can't wait to flesh this out and, better yet, make it.

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Im currently chating with karrott and skeeto about an area of karrotts new map needing better blocks and block combo. So I pose this question to all of you
Community question: Do you guys prefer an area with 1-3 blocks for a block combo(Like a minecraft cave) or, Do you prefer a wide amount of blocks like 6-12 for a block combo (like skyward ascent) Personnally I always liked a lot of block combo, Always gives me something different to see which is something cfg has blown us out of the water with

I mean, it really depends, doesn't it? As mentioned by inferachnid (i think thats how you spell it? :/ ), execution is everything. If the amount of block combo is appropriate for the area and its not over the top or too little, then I think thats fine. Every area is different and unique, thus calling for different block combos that are more appropriate for the area. So for my preference, I could care less as long as the combo is indeed appropriate for the area.

I prefer my dramatic return!
But I also like 1-3 blocks better.
Also, school break has just started for me! I have 2 weeks to finally make some progress on my CTM side. Perhaps, I'm already planning a mini-map right now?

More blocks, equals cooler (sometimes), but more subtle, stone brick, cracked brick, stone, cobble, mossy cobble, chiseled brick, abit of dirt, maybe to be bold obsidian or bedrock.

See, I like anywhere from 4-6 block types, BUT, I like mixing in the variants of Sandstone and Stone brick especially in with the combinations, as to give a bit more visual noise on the eyes, while keeping things subtle. For example, I'd do Stone, Cobble, Gravel, Stone Brick, and Glowstone, but mix in Mossy Cobble, and Mossy, Cracked, and Chiseled Stone Brick as well.
Personally, I like a bit of block variation because it shows variance and interest. Though I still look for loot here and there because of the block variance, it does pretty things up.
Either way, just wanted to pop in to let people know: I have plans to fully stream this Saturday and Sunday. Saturday should be for awhile, Sunday at least into the morning to the middle of the afternoon-I have plans-and that I have several maps as always. I do plan on playing some of the maps my fellow members at Galaxia made-Skeeto's and Karrots' map for now, more after those I have are finished-which will link into a 'building' project I have for the server in my mind-hope I can pull it off.
Anywho, hope to see some of you there.
