Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)
I decided a new philosophy for my maps: Lava means Blazes. Did I mention there is lava at the second wool?
The second wool area is small, but it has a zombie spawner, a skeleton spawner, and two blaze spawners. It's a small hidden cave. With lava. Lava means Blazes. Also, my lana arca or "wool boxes" (Fleecy Boxes) have open roofs. muahaha
I think I'd have a heart attack playing that... no thanks! xD
Well, I say it's "the second wool", but the map is gonna be open world, so... it can be any number of wool. TBH, you could just run in and run out. With minimal spawning. Plus, it's right by the VM.
Open-topped fleecy means that the wool could be destroyed unfairly, and having to worry about that on top of all the lava and blazes, along with 1.5 zombies setting you on fire and 1.5 skellies shooting you like crazy, still no thanks!
OH MY GOSH WHAT HAVE I DONE... If my maps were actually good I could replace Vechs... muahahaha

Umm.. isn't the entire point of a fleecy box to protect the wool? Wouldn't having an open roof defeat the purpose of the box?

Well, that and to kind of give you a notice like: "Here's the wool!" Because in Legendary (Not sure when Vechs started using fleecy boxes) and before, the wool was just in a chest, so you had to, say, punch through obsidian to get it.

Well it depends on the loot given for example boomer castle had like 4 blaze a ton of creepers and cave spiders. So if ample loot is provided you can pretty much defeat anything.
Just a quick question for you guys; I'm having trouble coming up with some names for 2 of the areas in my map, and I'm wondering what ideas anyone would have.
The first area I already showed the thread (I think)
This picture is a bit outdated, the walls aren't smooth and other cosmetic touches were done.
The other is my Nether fortress... it's not near the end of the map, so I don't really want the name to be as "grandiose" as endgame areas are, you know? It was originally going to be named Corruption Castle, but... I dunno.
The picture gives the outside justice, but the inside is completely different; it's has a lot of different routes and the interior can change from claustrophobic to a very big room in the drop of a hat.
That is true, but all the same I look at area ideas and imagine doing them with the basics, the regular resources you can normally get at the wool being described. And seeing as fire res isn't one thing that's normally provided that early on.... XD
But yeah, I would so much rather have a protected fleecy box.
Well, when I designed the lana arca I didn't consider the wool being unprotected... I'll fix it. Also, I put some armor at spawn to make up for all the fire and skeletons. Also I went in the area on hard mode and like one blaze spawned (but there were quite a few zombies and skeletons)... I don't think you have to worry that much...
So, I was working on Map 2, and here's the first area of Intersection 1(Oh hey, this is the first picture of this map I showed here):
It's not done, and I only got the base area done right now. The other stuff will come in later.

I really like this, but something you should probably be wary of is making sure those spikes actually blend in with the landmasses they're attached to. Right now, it looks like you just dropped a bunch of lines of gravel down and didn't blend them into the terrain. Other than that, the lighting looks fantastic, and it looks like a pretty nice area.
Can anyone give me a link to Vechs' CTM toolkit? I saw the link on amlup's thread which brings you to vechs' thread, but I don't see it there..
Also, how do you get custom enchantments like Vechs' powerminer? Enchantments like 100 efficiency and other really high enchantments.

As for super-enchantments, get Too Many Items and add a level 5 enchant of whatever enchant you want onto whatever tool you want, then go into NBTedit and change the level property to be whatever you want. I would provide a more in-depth explanation, but at the moment I don't have the time.
