I'd love to be a beta tester! It's great to see that it's finally moving into a beta :P.
I've completed over 15 full CTM maps with minimal deaths, along with a fair few mini CTMs, and I like to consider myself a fairly good player. These map range from the Super Hostile series, to VF, UT, Zero Mercy, etc. I usually tend to play maps as intended, moving through areas the way they were designed, but I understand that a beta is fairly different. I've had some experience beta testing, though not too much. I can be creative when I need to, so if I were to beta test, I would definitely look for ways to circumvent the challenges, and I'd have fun with it too. I'm happy posting essays for feedback as well. I should be able to put in at least 2-3 hours per day playing through the map until it's done. I don't frequently give harsh feedback, but I can make an exception for Pantheon. And of course, I'm always happy to ride a pig. It shall be my valiant steed, and it shall be voiced by Eddie Murphy.
I have a couple of questions, though. What is the expected playthrough time of this map? I understand that it's huge, but how numerous are the shortcuts? What is the intended difficulty? ROM-hack, FML? Is it a normal sized VM, or constructed differently? Also, 5 intersections, correct?
That's all for now. I hope you select me for beta testing, and if not, I'll eagerly wait for the normal release.

1. No idea. Depends on playstyle and how many times you get blown up in an I2 area.
2. No shortcuts in roughcut beta. Shortcuts to every intersection going along (I2 will have I1, I3 will have I2 and I1 and Monument will have shortcut to all 4 + quick shortcut to I5 if you can find it ) will be in the second beta. I have a list of coordinates here.
3. By the end you'll be going FML, but mostly ROM-Hack
4. 19 blocks, but the VM is different, not the standard. It looks cool though.

Hmm, okay. So do the beta testers get the roughcut version or the cleaner version? I'm assuming roughcut.
I'll beta it if you'd like. My credentials are in my sig. :3

There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
Hello, Like the few others before me I have a ginormous amount of CTM experience. I’ve played all of the usual suspects for example the Super Hostile series, AMLUP, Isaacs mini map, Tenebourous tales and all of Zero mercies advent Calendar which were extraordinary. I have plenty of constructive criticism and have no hard feelings of tearing it apart if it needs to be. I am at the moment working on a few projects of the CTM Origin. My play style is to attack it like its originally meant to be and if it’s too difficult exploit its weakness. For example in Uncharted territories 2 in Icefall castle you could completely avoid everything by walking around back in climbing into the next intersection with easy access to the wool. I tend to rush places quite a bit and do my best to speed run areas this could help with a speedy review of your map Pantheon.
I really hope you can consider me in your decision for Beta testers for the CTM map Pantheon.
Hey i think that i would make a good beta tester because i really "examine" CTM maps to try and get the full experience. I can also endure the feeling of rage for a significant amount of time and I don't lie to people when it comes to criticizing their maps. Also one other thing is that i am on a MacBook Pro so it would be good to have a Mac tester to see if the map would be playable for Mac users or not. I hope you take me into consideration.

Just an fyi, I run a Mac too, and the map itself shouldn't be influenced at all by what OS your running on. If you can run Minecraft, you can use custom maps without much trouble, the only thing people might have trouble with would be installing, but that's pretty simple to explain.
So I've had experience in CTM maps before, having played all of Vetches maps except for the Black Desert II Beta, AMLP's maps and Xekaj's Zero Mercy, among others, so I know my general way around CTM.
When playing CTM maps, I always go the road less traveled, preferring to try and break the map for the hell of it rather than going the regular obvious route. I like lava buckets, effeeshent stuff and primitive mob traps. I try to tackle areas with a crazy speedrun first, but if that doesn't work, then I tend to take a methodical approach. I avoid cave spider and blaze spawners as much as I can, preferring to make a safe bridge rather than fight them head on. I like exploring places that might have secret good stuff (gap in wall? Top of waterfall?), but I do not exhaustively light up an area and look in EVERY place. I am fine up to about the difficulty of say, N&V: RotV, then I start to struggle a little bit, but eventually get it done. I do not like void areas, feel free to torture me with them .-.
Some of the feedback I'd give includes:
What is the map's general difficulty? Easy, medium, FML?
Does the map difficulty increase over time? Decrease? Schizophrenic?
Is the loot balanced? Does the map force you to take caution?
Do the areas look good? Are traps too cheap, or too obvious?
Is stuff too easy/too hard to get?
I don't know what else I have to say. You've seen me in the IRC, I can always give feedback via there for quick communication, I'd dedicate a lot of time to playing this, etc. etc. , so yeah.
I've played a few CTM maps, including Legendary, Spellbound Caves, Lethamyr, Infernal Sky II, Uncharted Territory and Blight Castle (these last two are nearly completed).
Most of my playstyle is consisted of run-in-and-light-up techniques (frequently also ninja kamikaze), but it doesn't takes too much to get me to look for new ways to approach a problem. I'll try to adapt quickly and use the area's layout to, lava and even other mobs (tehehe) to my advantage. C:
I love exploring too, and most of time I do my best to clean 100 of an area before moving on, unless the area is far too big or impossible to secure. It feels like I failed if I don't conquer an area completely, and that makes me burn a lot of time on the CTMs I play, but it also helps me fiding secret stuff.
I really like giving feedback, too, specially with the area's overall feeling and looks. I've studied some level design at my Game Design classes, so maybe that helps my feedback to be constructive? I'd like to believe so.
One important point though, I'm not a combat expert, nor a speedrun expert. In other words, I'm really not a pro player. I'm derpy and clumsy, and my Minecraft skills are maybe slightly higher than those of a non-CTM Minecraft player. So even though I think it's nice to have some skill variation in the beta team, and of course I'd like to beta test, I'd comprehend if I'm not picked for the beta, so keep that in mind. :3
On a related note, do you guys have banners and/or a logo? (I see the Pantheon icon, but I'm not sure if would that be the official logo or a placeholder, I thought I should ask.) I could help with that, huh? :3

Yeah but some maps i have tried to play have just been lag city because my computer hasn't been able to handle it.

That's just your computer. That's not going to be because you have a mac, that's just because you may be playing on a toaster. A very expensive toaster with a logo on the back.
- I'm actually considering making a stable the next time I get a saddle, a carrot and some pigs in a CTM map. Will probably spend the whole map attempting to ride pigs from area to area and slaughtering them if they go the wrong way.

All I choose will get roughcut but it's up to them if they want to play it.

Linear.
Let me quote all the references to intersections.
There we go.
So, first of all here are the CTM series I've beaten:
I can play maps fairly quickly (I beat Spellbound, Kaizo, IS2 and SoF2 in a total of two days, without staying inside all day.)
My favorite foods are bacon, pork sausage, ham, pulled pork and pork rinds.
I'm currently working on my own map, and I'd say I have a decent grasp of what makes a CTM map good or bad. I haven't released any maps yet however.
Screenshots from my map posted a while ago:
I don't really know how to prove that I always explore an area thoroughly and always try to outsmart the mapmaker except for saying it, so yeah.
Thanks for considering me!
Also, when I posted the pictures of my own map I wasn't trying to advertise. Just showing that I'm not making stuff up.
Finally, how many intersections are there and is it branching or open?
JK I can read.

Best of luck everyone who makes it in! Can't wait to hear the feedback and discussion from the people who do play it
And the avatar is sort of just a placeholder thingy, Zap made that I believe, but it isn't too shabby. I'll send you a few tweets later about that.
That's your problem for using a mac.

I like him. Can I keep him mommy?
