Howdy, folks, SkyeGU here in search of as many as four or, in an unfortunate scenario, as few as zero Adventure Map Assistants.
As things stand, the creation of Link of Faith has been going slowly, though smoothly, and I'd love to speed up the process; though I do not wish to do so at the cost of quality.
So I ask: Are there any out there among you who would be willing to lend a hand? A more proper term for the people I seek would be "collaborators"; I am not seeking people to tell "build this over there". Instead I prefer people who can hold a discussion and weigh the options for the overall best end result; there is no finality in builds, there is always the potential for improvement or changes.
If you are willing to lend a hand as a builder, a collaborator, a creator interested in making the map everything it can be, I invite you to step up.
For the above reasons, any potential assistant must posess the following:
A legitamite copy of minecraft, as it is required.
The willingness to utilize snapshots as they are unveiled leading up to the 1.4 release.
Preferably 18+ of age with proven maturity, but younger applicants with proof of maturity will gladly be considered.
Some form of proof, preferably in image form, of your building capabilities.
Skype. It is a far easier method for communicating than text on-screen.
You must not be a robot; dalek, terminator, cylons, or others need not apply.
TO APPLY:
I hope you liked short-answer questions on tests:
Preferred Handle/Name:
Age:
What do you feel you can offer the project?:
What do you think "proof of maturity" is?:
Propose a minecraft problem and a solution to that problem.:
Show off your work / abilities and explain them with a sentence or two:
Thank you, for your time and interest.:
I'll be keeping tabs on this thread, however any of you are more than welcome to send this to me via forum private message or simply by posting it here; either one works just fine. I'll request your skype and minecraft in-game username in the event that you are chosen.
I look forward to speaking with any interested candidates at their earliest convenience.
Interesting. I'd like to apply, but before I fill out the application:
I feel that I'd fill most of the requirements except the 4th. I think I can build nicely, but I have never had the patience to do it in survival mode, and never had the will to do it in single-player; I've always felt that there's no point in building something that no one else would ever see. I could build up a place from scratch if you desire an example of my build style, but I'd rather you instruct me (however vaguely) on what you want in the show-off build.

That's a well-founded concern, and one that I understand entirely too well. If you'd be willing, there are a few options I can offer/request for ideal building style examples:
1) A non-square house with more than a single room.
2) A stairwell, preferably one with a "dungeon" feel.
3) A standard Minecraft village house, aged / decayed / overgrown by time.
Feel free to try your hand at a single one of the examples or at multiple. You're welcome to utilize any and all creative additions you'd like to any of them, and you're welcome to only vaguely adhere to the suggestions, too. The goal is to show off what you can do.
If you'd like, I can fire up a flatworld server for you to build on so that I can easily take a look. Alternatively simply creating it and offering screenshots works just as well; depending on your preference.
And as a question that doesn't affect the decision one way or the other, just one that's out of curiosity: How do you feel about Redstone?
The flatworld server appeals to me best. I'm decent with redstone; I prefer to make things work over making huge complex computers, but I can manage
Edit: My first post was at 6:00 am exact. This one was 8:00 am exact. That's... strange. Sorry, just felt that this should be said before the exact times stop being shown.

That I can do; give me five to get it rolling. In the meantime, if you'd be kind enough to forum message me your Minecraft name so I can whitelist you for access, I'll respond back to that message with the server address to connect to.
And duly noted regarding the redstone; that's all the expertise you'd ever need: "Make it work"
I think I may try, getting back into redstone mechanics after awhile of testing Mystcraft (Now that it is MC 1.4.2) If you'd like I can build something for you on a flatworld server
Preferred Handle/Name: "Creeper" (IGN is Crappycreeper) Age: 15, yet mature. What do you feel you can offer the project?: Redstone and even trailer and/or video/creative production. What do you think "proof of maturity" is?: Being honest, responsible and open-minded yet strict and preserver. Propose a minecraft problem and a solution to that problem.: Commands in Minecraft maps themselves, and now using the new Command Blocks which I highly adore, it's solved (I've managed to make an Objectives system with them!) Show off your work / abilities and explain them with a sentence or two: Video editing (Portfolio) Redstone systems including tic-tac-toe, health system (WIP), Objective system (Which I stated) and trying to figure out how to make boss battles. Thank you, for your time and interest.:No problem.

You could give it a shot, be sure to fill out the "To Apply" first, however.
What do you feel you can offer the project?: Redstone Mechanics and Mystcraft mechanics.
What do you think "proof of maturity" is?: To present yourself in a mature manner when interacting with other people.
Propose a minecraft problem and a solution to that problem.: How to easily create checkpoints/savepoints, solved with the command blocks /spawnpoint command.
What do you feel you can offer the project?: I'm really dedicated to the projects I create (I'm making a map all by myself), filling even the smallest details if possible. Currently I'm in vacations, so I can help a lot.
What do you think "proof of maturity" is?: Being on time, responsible, doing the work your assigned within the time you are given and also helping others.
Propose a minecraft problem and a solution to that problem.: Adding new features like save points, dialogues (for RPG lovers) and commands, it was solved when command blocks got out
Show off your work / abilities and explain them with a sentence or two: I currently have no pictures (previous computer died), but I like doing mega-structures, really well detailed and also I'm trying to get better with redstone.
Thank you, for your time and interest.: No problem ^^
Hey! Honest piece of patience there, SkyeGU. I think I could help out with your project, but there is a catch.
A slight problem with my internet prevents me from accessing some programs and playing games online. Therefore, I can only work offline. If you happen to want a break from the project, I'd be happy to take over and build further on it, I see myself as a person who could contribute decently towards this map. Contact me.

Unfortunately, Link of Faith remains an exclusively online build. My apologies that this prevents direct assistance. If you're serious about helping, there is the potential for assisting with contributions via MCEdit (preferably in the form of .schematic files).
However before anything, I would prefer that the requested information in the top post be filled out; including examples of work, especially. Some details surrounding "contribute decently" would be great.
I would participate because I'm a great builder and I would like to share it with others, I'm sorry if I wrote wrong because I'm from Brazil and I can not speak English but I completely understand a little English so that's why I want to participate and yes, here in Brazil already has a lot of kids, lots and lots of maturity when vai studying in a school in the slum so if you want to know my name in minecraft is EndColossus and no, I do not have minecraft pirate but I wanted to participate anyway, then that is my post

I don't bite, so feel free to step up if you're interested.

A Terminator and a Dalek tried to fool me, but I showed them!
Here's something I did many Minecraft versions ago:

Thanks for your interest but as stated in the opening post, you lack a key requirement:
