Well that was annoying :/ Still having formatting issues, but I'm not gonna deal with that crap right now, time for Minecraft! I'll try to have Levi's Nightmare completely done by Friday, as it's my last day in town for the next week.
The Good: · This map is VERY original! I’m used to finding so many maps that take a popular idea and add a slight spin to it, but I’ve never seen any map with a story like Levi’s Nightmare! · I also enjoyed the prospect of playing a Minecraft horror map. I’m a fan of horror games myself, so it was quite fun to get a bit of a chill from playing Minecraft · The custom texture pack was also quite nice and definitely added more of a mood to the map than default Minecraft would have. · I enjoyed how in depth Kmiley went into the story, rather than the occasional vague text every 15 minutes, there are accounts of this strange plague in nearly every house, giving a full perspective of it. · On that note, the ordering of the notes was also well done! As the player delves deeper into this journey, more and more details are revealed about the nature of this pandemic and where everyone has gone. (George’s account was very sad ) · The ending was a huge twist! I thought it was a very nice conclusion to the story.
The Bad: · Trying to survive in the town at night on Hard is definitely a thrill, but can be avoided altogether by sleeping in a bed · 20 notes over an hour and a half story are quite excessive, in my opinion. While many of them are story-critical (like the mayor’s, the gravedigger’s, the chief miner’s) some were just there to add to the mood, and repeat information we already know. · Maybe I’m just used to playing Amnesia, but I didn’t get much of a scare from this map. Chills at the accounts of the deceased? Yes. But there wasn’t really a scripted scary part.
The Ugly: · I only skimmed the notes as I read, but I didn’t find any obvious typos or bad grammar
Summary: Levi’s Nightmare is a very fun, completely original custom map with one of the best stories I’ve read. The in-depth detail and well-timed progression of the disease prods players to move ever onwards, toward the culmination of this mournful tale. There’s certainly an ending that makes their journey worth it! While the story is great, and the texture pack is effective, there isn’t much of a horror aspect to the gameplay. Zombies and other creepies can be easily evaded, or avoided altogether by sleeping in the frequently placed beds to disable spawning entirely. Overall, Levi’s Nightmare is a very impressive adventure map, but has some work to be done in the “horror” aspect.
Suggestions: · Remove a few notes that are not critical to the story. It’s good to get the multiple perspectives, but a lot of the diaries just give us the same information with different circumstances. · Create audio files of yourself or a friend reading the notes dramatically instead of having the player read all 20 notes themselves. Add some background music for bonus effect (just remember it has to be royalty free music if you use AdFly) If you want more of a horror aspect to it: · Players have to play on Hard so zombies can break down the doors. · Custom build or import textures for paintings of blood to place on walls and/or buildings · OptiFine has a setting to enable infinite night, which would definitely add much more of a horror aspect to Levi’s Nightmare, as zombies are a constant threat · The texture pack looks great, but a 32x32 pack has room for even creepier detail! (DokuCraft- The Saga Continues has a great custom texture maker, similar to Painterly Pack’s, but in 32x32 res)

Let’s Play!
Part 1-
More coming soon!
Very sorry! I've added yours to the list now, in its proper order, and will begin reviewing it as soon as I get back
Thanks you so much for the review! As for the "horror" aspect of the map, it wasn't really supposed to scare you. The idea was to creep you out, and try and bring out your emotions. I think some of these suggestions are very interesting, especially the infinite night one. I have optifine, so can you tell me where I have to go to change it to infinite night?
Hey everyone! Back from an awesome week and psyched for more of your guys' awesome maps! New game plan: I'm only going to be uploading parts 1-3 publicly of each let's play. I can upload a full LP of your map privately and give you access to watch if you want to see the full LP, but I don't like uploading more than 3 or 4 videos in a day, and with this new game plan, I can review 3 maps a week and pick up the slack! Starting the next map tomorrow with some friends As for once school begins, I'm not certain on anything yet, but I know my schedule will not leave a huge amount of free time. Optimistically thinking, I'll review one map a week after August 22nd.
@Kmiley, I don't know exactly how, I just read it somewhere, and Google didn't show any other results for a permanight mod.
Also, both maps accepted, however I doubt I'll finish them before the school year starts.
It's a good feeling to get out of the Hospital and see my map to be reviewed soon. I know this might sound like begging, but could you be so kind and also post a Copy of your Review after you've written it in my thread, because I don't want to bump it again, as excessive bumping isn't a sight people like to see.
Hope you're doing better now! And of course I can post the review on your thread It's what I usually do with my reviews. Now that I'm back and settled in, I should be reviewing your map very shortly
I know you have loads of requests, but if you have the time, which I don't know when, would you mind taking a look and reviewing my map? There's already some Let's Plays, but I would really love an additional LP. Link's in my signature so just click on it when you have the time

Do you want your map on YouTube?:Yeah sure! (If you have the time)
Anything else?: nope...
I cant wait till my stuff gets a review
it really lacks in design, i tell you. the design is quite boring as it focuses more to the challenge.
and also, you might want to consider this: You might think the map is laggy since i dont delete non-important stuff and that the chunk is deleted in a mess, but if i can change it i will, but apperently for some reason World Edit and MCEdit dont work since i made level 28 (MCEdit wont open the map, World Edit took longer time to use as well needs to be downloaded again etc) possibly because it is too big. i dunno.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Actions, adventures, puzzles, parkours, fights. 1map, 50 levels. Can you take on the ultimate challenges?
The Good:
Wow! The texture pack was once again the highlight of this map, and not to degrade from the map at all by saying that! The texture pack absolutely fit 110% to setting the mood of classic Castlevania. While I have never played the original Castlevania, from the walkthroughs I watched in preparation for this map (aren’t I so dedicated to my people? ;)) I could see a perfect recreation of the Castlevania rooms, tools, weapons, and armor. While we’re on the topic of the texture pack, the pumpkin head vignette was AWESOME! If not for the critical need for full armor, I’d have worn it the whole map through.
Onto the gameplay section of this map. True to the spirit of Castlevania, this map made me want to throw my mouse through the window. Nah, it wasn’t quite that insanely difficult, but wow was this map right up there next to Vech’s Super Hostile series on the difficulty scale. I put that in the good only because that’s the way Castlevania was designed, and this map sure followed suit. Great job on the final boss battle, btw! Lots of fun and was definitely a step up from the other bosses.
Additionally, the bosses were very impressive in build, though not in challenge (covered later). The overall visuals for this map looked great with the classic NES styled texture pack.
The Bad:
While a good challenge can be tons of fun and a good way to grow stronger, the opening two chapters of this map almost had me to the point of rage quit. I realize that Castlevania was designed with a no mercy system that sent players all the way back to the beginning of the level, no better off than before, but this is Minecraft. Not to sound hypocritical to just praising the challenge, but like I said just earlier, a good challenge is healthy, a near impossible challenge just makes you rage. When I would die, due to the scarcity of torches and difficulty to disable some spawners, I’d be forced to face nearly every monster I fought getting to my point of death, only this time my trusty Vampire Slayer was laying on the ground hundreds of blocks and monsters away. This mostly applies to the first and second chapter, as the later chapters did a good job of supplying me with possible respawn weapons at the safe zones.
I felt like the difficulty tiers were quite unbalanced. The first two levels had the hardest, had the darkest lighting (made for the most mob spawns), and left me most poorly equipped, while in the later levels, I get enchanted diamond swords, full diamond armor, and high level brightness for the least mob spawns of all.
One final little bug thing, the rail lines towards the end need to be fixed. I had 2 very, very close calls of death because the railway does not extend onto the ground.
The Ugly:
All notes were in separate .txt files, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the grammar used in the notes made me want to curl up and die. Please fix this immediately, it drove me insane. A few grammatical errors here and there are acceptable, if not expected, but I hardly ever found a capitalized “I”, correct punctuation, and nearly ever sentence was an extreme run-on sentence.
Summary:
Castlevania NES was quite an impressive map, largely due to the texture pack. It stayed true to the original Castlevania, and Dyz_69 did a great job of copying this classic into Minecraft. However, there is work to be done. Notes need to be transferred into the newly introduced Book and Quill, grammar critically needs to be cleaned up, and levels need to be balanced in order. Oh, and a word of advice to anyone new playing, prepare for quite the surprise boss battle at the end, it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat
Suggestions:
-Tier the map according to level. When players are suited with an iron sword and leather armor, give them less mobs and an easier time until they get their footing, then give them the hardest challenge of all when they have enchanted gear and heavy armor. If lighting is critical to that section of the map, use spawners with eggs.
-Improve the bosses to make it feel like a real challenge. Especially the Twins, that “battle” felt much more like a well earned nap.
-Fix the minecart rails. Extend the track so that players don’t have to worry about falling into lava at the Dracula battle. Also, on the final minecart ride, the powered rails don’t have the oomph to push you all the way to the top. Just make it a track entirely of powered rails; speed matters more than visual appeal when it comes to minecart rides.

Also, a note in general: School is coming up in less than 2 weeks, and due to the suckishness of my internet, there's no possible way for me to upload every one of your awesome maps in time, so what I'm going to be doing is going solely for reviews.
