I made a little puzzle map that uses some of the new commands in 1.7.
The goal of the map is to make your way to the center of the puzzle cube by completing different puzzles.
The difficulty increases as you progress further into the cube, starting out quite easy and ending up a bit challenging. There is also a bonus area with challenge versions of all the puzzles.
It should be multiplayer compatible up to any number of people. In fact, some puzzles are much easier on multiplayer.
It also comes with a resource pack, which is mandatory (so things make sense =) ).

Rules:
The rules are in the book in the double chest right near the starting place, but I'll reiterate them here:
- Don't break/place blocks
- Don't craft
- Keep your difficulty on Easy
- Stay in Survival or Adventure mode (doesn't matter which)
- Use the included Puzzle Cube Resource Pack
1. Make sure you have some version of Minecraft 1.7. Minecraft 1.8 isn't working properly with the current map.
2. Download the zip file above and unzip it.
3. Go to your .minecraft folder and place:
a. "The Puzzle Cube - v." in the folder "saves".
b. "Puzzle Cube Resource Pack" in the folder "resourcepacks".
4. Start Minecraft.
5. Go to the resource pack selection menu (in Options) and add the Puzzle Cube Resource Pack to the top of the list.
6. Open the world titled "The Puzzle Cube"
7. Get Puzzled!

=P I suspect this map will induce lots of raging. Especially in the challenge bonus area. I'm glad you liked the puzzles though.
This was a great map! I didn't do the bonus area (it was too hard) but even without it the map was still extraordinary. Also, traversing the sides of the cube was really awesome.
Awesome map! Very interesting and challenging puzzles.
I encountered a problem, though. On the bonus area, the "lava reset" mechanism broke for the gold puzzle and I had to switch to creative to get it working again...I don't know why it broke, but I heard of lot of lava fizzling before it stopped working. I had to switch into creative to finish the puzzle/clear the items, and I got a notification warning me against being in creative mode...is that going to impede my ability to move forward?
That would really suck to get this far, have the puzzle break, and then not be able to advance...
Also, see the spoilers...
I'm completely puzzled on the bonus diamond puzzle...you can't make stuff bounce off of walls with enough momentum to do what you want to do...the gold puzzle was hard enough, but the diamond one is absolutely ridiculous. Is there some other hint out there, besides "good luck, keep trying for hours and hours until the item glitches into the right spot"? I don't see the point of "dumb luck" puzzles like this.

Of course! =)
I'm glad you liked it. =)
The download link is at the top of the "Download and Instructions" section.
I'd suggest quickly sketching a map of each side. You'll get it. =)
You should see the challenge version of that puzzle...

Hmm, try downloading again. Maybe something went wrong during the download.

Took me a couple of hours but very worth it. I found the last white clay puzzle extremely hard, but I did it.
PHEW
