Heaven's arrow is a map that I have been workng on for a long time. It is a sandbox survival world, so your only limitation is getting the resources. How do you get the resources? by shooting down rapidly moving floating blocks! I made a version in the past but that didn't hit off too well. So I made a new version, with all new things, like choosing your preference out of 4 maps, almost all blocks available, and much more! I included screenshots, so you can make your decision. Well, here is that download button:
If you download the map, a +1 would be appreciated!
If you make a LP can you include a link? Thanks!
This is a "rules" section. These are recommended rules for everyone:
-Do not unload and reload the island, it causes all the bats to despawn, and then the blocks drop.
-Do not destroy the spawners
-Do not place lava to instant kill the bats to make the blocks fall (Thats a little cheaty)
-You can give yourself more bows with infinity. Unbreaking enchant will be added to them next update!
-Play on medium or hard difficulty. There really aren't that many spaces for mobs to spawn, torching should be easy. (It's mainly for the food)
My lp:
Screenshots:
Spawn Platform:
Map 1:Classic
Map 2: Mushroom Island
Map 3: Winter!
Map 4: NPC Village!
Possible in next update:
New maps: (Vote on your favorite)
Underworld
Night of the Living dead
Mesa Biome
Mega Taiga Biome
Cave World
Adventure World
Boring stuffs:
Bows will be invulnerable to durability
Command blocks instead of spawners
New flowers obtainable
Nice. And I want to ask you, are the floating resources spawned by spawners? Will they drop themselves after get hit by an arrow? Will they regenerate after it collected by the player?
And maybe you should try to press F1 before you press F2.

Yes they are spawned by spawners and are infinite. If hit by the arrow they will fall and you can collect them. And I forgot to press F1, sorry if it bothers anyone.
Sounds pretty interesting, I'll have to check it out. I just hope my computer can handle the flying stuff without a ton of lag :/
It's pretty lag-free if you don't have on particles (the floating blocks are fallingsand riding an invisible bat, the invisibility makes potion particles) and have render distance on short or normal
Basically, it is a bat trap, whoever shot the bat must face the consequences of a dirty world. However, putting torches all over the island might help. You can build from bedrock by accurately shooting these extremely rare(and maybe tough) bats above the drop place, or by the cheaty mean of slabs.

The way I did it, if it drops on a slab or half block it won't give you the item, because the fallingsand entities despawn after 30 seconds, and when they despawn, they drop their items, and you would be bobmarded by them. If I turn that off, they don't drop their items on any occasion.
I don't really know what to say about bedrock, I think it would just kind of ruin your creation if you shot one, and occasionally a bat flies to the ground and drops his items. This would be unfair to a player. Plus, I have fire and cobwebs for the same reason: annoyance, or being careful about what you shoot down. Cobwebs don't sound bad, but they destroy items, remember. And of course, fire can kill you.

My most successful suggestion yet!
