02/20/13: Pangaean Continent is an upcoming CTM (Complete The Monument) map that I have made some rough work on. I have posted a poll for you to vote on what style you want this map to be made in, but it will most likely be Continental. Continental style is where you have a map as if it was naturally generated, where you can do the things that you would do in Vanilla Minecraft, but there are also Dungeons and Loot scattered around the map, and a monument that you need to complete using Wool and some other blocks. It is a rather relaxed style of CTM (but the dungeons can be quite difficult) that mostly focuses around building, exploring and farming. I will post progress reports and screenshots when I deem necessary. Have a nice day!
02/21/13: Pangaean Continent will most likely be Continental. You know the saying, when making a game, make it for yourself? That way the game has what you want in it and other people will like the game too because you are bound to have good ideas for the game? I will be taking the same approach to my map. I enjoy the continental style of map, and I wish that there were more of them out there. I have been creating some rough worlds using World Painter, a world generator that lets you easily manipulate the terrain, and tossing around different ideas for the world. As for more of an explanation of a continental-style map, it is just like how you would play vanilla minecraft survival, and there are more dungeons in the world and you have a goal of completing the monument. I am hoping that there are others out there that like continental-style maps too.
02/22/13: Screenshot time!
My version of Vechs' Sign-Off Shelter.

Self-explanatory
Some custom trades.
So, that's my progress so far. I've created the world, and now I am putting Sign-off Shelters roughly every 500x500 blocks. The rules are the same as Vechs' Super Hostile rules, plus one more: " 'Rule 9: You may not kill Villagers or release them from their cages.' " Villagers will be my shops where you can trade for certain other cool things.
02/23/13: A dungeon finished today. Screenshots below, but spoilers too.
A pirate-ship themed dungeon. Any suggestions to aesthetics will be considered.
...What the...could it be...that's not normal...is it...a custom mob?
An overhead view of the boat. Don't let the size fool you, there's a lot going on under the water's surface!
Feel free to post thoughts/suggestions/criticisms on the thread. I'll take what you say into consideration!
02/24/13: I haven't finished a dungeon yet today, but here is a progress image anyways.

Discovered it's more professional to post progress as a reply. I'll do that from now on, and also I'll be making my screenshots more vague.
Here's a progress shot from my test world:
I'm still working on the map! I haven't left. I've just been so busy with the Orange Wool Dungeon. This place is going to be huge! Lots of custom mobs and traps too. :3 The 1.5 update has given me a lot of cool new trap designs! (Tip: You may want to be careful taking items out of furnaces! D: )
Might I ask what programs or commands you use to get zombies to ride spiders?
I used MCEdit by codewarrior, which you can download at Link Removed to do all sorts of things and is needed to stack mobs. To stack mobs, I used SethBling's Stacked Entities Filter which you can download at Link Removed , but it needs MCEdit to work.

EDITED: To fix a spelling derp.
I certainly hope so!
