Alright, I plan to start my LP of Dreadsky Isles sometime in the next month or two.
Huzzah! Can't wait for it!
Also, not sure how many of you remember this, but I mentioned wanting to do a Developer Commentary version of the map when it was finished, using books as notes. I'm pretty confident about the state of the map right now, so I'm going to get started on that sometime today. Can't put a release on it right now, but chances are it won't be more than a week away.
I just did the whole of Avalon Fortress (+ the crypts) without dying!!!
I expected to experience the same kind of thing as with Draco's Fortress of the Mist, just because they're similar in structure... but nah, yours was a breeze, Drago. Awesome fun
Yay!
I'd kinda like to think that Avalon and Mist are around the same difficulty, though. Mist was difficult mostly because of how big it was. BTW, have to gone to Shardveil/Untapped Underpass yet?
My playthrough of this map:
Episode 1 -
i wonder how well i will do or if i will fail miserably as i expect this map to be fun and challenging
Hope you enjoy DRaGO
(sorry i forgot your name in the begining of the first episode.)
(p.s. more videos to come)
There are some in the little house dungeon on Bleakshale Falls. There is also a 'Librarian' special tool nearby, which is a silk touch wooden axe for collecting those bookshelves.

Do you know of any other areas that have bookshelves, since I've already got the bookshelves from Bleakshale Falls.

Hmmm, I honestly don't remember. I played without using any bookshelves for enchanting at all, probably because I haven't seen anymore books available.
The only area I can think of for there to be bookshelves is Avalon Fortress, however, I'm not 100% sure about this.

Ahh, yes there was bookshelves in Avalon Fortress. Thanks for your help. Only 4 blocks left. (3 wool and Emerald block)

Why you hate Fortress of the Mist so much
It's not that bad if you take it on properly -.-
Okay, finished I3. Only had two deaths in the entire thing; a stoopid cave spider in Underpass and the boat-on-halfslab glitch on the way back :/
Was enjoying it, but the prospect of moving again to the next intersection is just, blah... Wish I had enough blocks to just build a great big bridge from the monument to it XD
Don't worry, you don't have to move at all. Just check around the intersection, I'm sure there will be some sort of shortcut... :3
I have recovered from my rage from the zombie pigmen (zisteau's are so deadly). I've started playing again on SMP almost made it to the victory monument(started from scratch with 1.5 download). So far it looks really good no complaints from me.
Finally after many deaths (about 10-20) I have completed this map. Really enjoyed it, I like the Replica Monument idea.
The map was well balanced, you gave out enough resources that I didn't have to farm a lot. Plenty of coal, never had to mine any. The Replica's were placed well so you that will not miss them unless you're not paying attention.
All of the areas looked aesthetically pleasing. In Shardveil Cove maybe supply one or two more stacks of ladders, as I had to make more. With the islands leading to I4, the Jump Boost potions were cool even though I kept missing and falling into the ocean.
In Armpit of the World, once you fall into the big pit/cave is there an easy way out or do you have to pillar back up to the tunnels?
Finally, Everdark Atlas this area looked very good, I unluckily did the same thing as most other people did and went through the bottom dungeon first . I ended up pillaring up and digging thorugh the wall to the top big room.
Overall, one of the best CTM maps I've ever played, very enjoyable not to hard or easy. 9/10

Yeah, I made sure that jumping puzzle can be completed without bridging, but it is pretty easy to fall still.
In Armpit of the World, once you fall into the big pit/cave is there an easy way out or do you have to pillar back up to the tunnels? Nope, only way out is tunneling (not recommended) or bridging back up from the way you came.

The good thing about doing that area the way it's intended is that you get loaded up with the loot, which helps you just as much in the second dungeon.

Make sure you post your victory screenshots and thoughts when you've finished.
